We had an absolute fantastic time at Tom‘s „The Gallery“. Tom does not only create incredibly tasteful food but fills the room with just the right music and vibe. It’s a perfect place to arrive, have a chat, ask for advice on what to do and what not to do in the area and simply feel welcome. In fact, we enjoyed it here so much, we decided to come here twice for dinner. This place is a „must“ for anyone visiting Westport.

Excellent food, wine and service here. Food was delicious and very unique, you can tell the owner is very passionate and knowledgeable about the food and wine he serves. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Prices were fair for the quality.

Dropped in here for a glass of wine to celebrate our anniversary before heading to our reserved dinner booking. Fantastic wine selection, lovely laid back and chilled atmosphere. We felt completely at home here and shared some happy banter chats with owner Tom. Would have liked to stay for longer only we had to head off for our meal. Thank you for welcoming us to your wine bar. We hope your eye heals soon Tom. Audrey and Bryan.

Words cannot express how wonderful this truly unique place is – but I will try! During our two days in Westport, we spent one evening here and wished we had done so on the second night as well – although we did get to pop in for a few more glasses of wine and a chat with the owner Tom after our meal elsewhere. The room is a lovely intimate warm space with shelves of interesting books and a huge vinyl collection, from which Tom selects tracks to play that will delight and relax you, but it is really his dedication to quality and sustainability and his open, warm and genuine nature that set the tone for what makes this place so special. Tom relates to you as a human being and somehow creates a very convivial space where everybody is made to feel so welcome and included and where the best of conversations can happen. The commitment to sustainability and ethics runs through the delicious organic grazing boards and tapas offerings and large collection of organic and biodynamic wines from small producers chosen individually by Tom – such as a lovely white wine we enjoyed from the Basque region of Spain. If you ask him to suggest a wine for you he’ll do so with great care and let you try it first to make sure you like it. We tried four of the tapas dishes and each were generous portions and very delicious. The mushroom and truffle salt dish had different kinds and textures of mushrooms in a delicious broth with real depth of flavour that had us mopping up the very last drop with bread; the Aubergenie Crunch was aubergine prepared a number of different ways such as roasted and smoked, and was exceptional. Both the organic bio pepper strips with roasted peppers, Dozio’s of Mayo garlic and black pepper soft cheese, and organic balsamic reduction, and the Holy Mackerel with Sicilian marinated lemon, organic coffee dust, Ballymaloe beetroot and Irish mango chutney were also very delicious and well constructed – a real treat for the taste buds. Saying goodbye on the second night, after such lovely food and wine and chats with Tom and other fellow diners, we felt moved in a way you would not in any other place where you are just a customer there to eat, pay up and move on. The place has true heart. I recommend that you do not miss a visit to The Gallery when you are next in Westport – and say hello to Tom from us!

Gracy's Bar

29/08/2024: A gem to have in town. Full of people. Excellent and affordable food
19/08/2024: We had an excellent time eating at Gracys. The food was very tasty, but quite pricy to say the least. The servers however were very friendly and welcoming. Sophia was our server and was especially helpful. She was very professional and interactive. Will be back for more yum yum!
