Lovely place, decent prices and excellent service.

Fry was one of the best I’ve had. Every single item was cooked perfectly. The waiter was lovely and gave us a lot of advice on the local area. Thank you!

Update from previous 2021 review- OCT 2025: still as good as ever, always consistently class food, place well run by Maggie and team. Galley is a breath of fresh air in Downings, lovely interior in the restaurant that wouldn’t be out of place in any city cafe. Food is always good and the staff are always more than helpful. Still haven’t got round to trying their pizzas but their menu choice and selection of ice creams and desserts are excellent.

Food tasty and waiting staff prompt and attentive despite how busy they were

We came for pizza, but there weren't any available that day. The waitresses are friendly. The food is good and plentiful. The dishes are rich in savory and sweet ingredients. There's a parking lot across the street with plenty of spaces. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The establishment is clean and well-maintained.

Whilst visiting the area and trying to accommodate all members of our family dietary requirements I give the Galley a little phone call to enquire about gluten free options The lady on the phone was very knowledgable So we got showered up and in we went We were delighted with the service from a lovely group of girls out holding the front of the restaurant 12” hot and spicy gluten free pizza was ordered and it didn’t disappoint she was delighted with it l. The garlic mayo is delicious also But she could of had gf burgers with wedges, warm chicken salad lots to choose from Also we ordered a few more pizzas pepperoni and the barbecue chicken and bacon pizza were so tasty (picture attached ) Cajun chicken burgers & chips yummy After an active day on the beach we were well ready to eat and the food was unreal Clean plates all around Thank you to all the staff in the Galley for accommodating gluten free choices and for a lovely meal

Had a wonderful experience here with the family, just 2 mins from the beach, very friendly and helpful staff, food was delicious. Very busy spot but quick service, definitely would recommend a visit if you are in Downings. Thanks again.

Nice food and beer however it was busy when we visited and the staff as a little abrupt. We had a pizza to share and two beers. It was very nice but over priced

Delicious Italian pizza Great and friendly service We were served very quickly and didn't have to wait for a seat Nice and atmospheric place I recommend it 😍🤩🙂
