The best restaurants in Cnoc na muirleog

12/09/2026: Oldie worldie pub restaurant the main noticeable sign is the Harbour Bar, mostly seafood on the menu I had cod fish and chips my only issue was it came presalted and im not a extra salt fan. We ate out in the covered beer garden. Nice afternoon and will be back.

31/08/2026: Incredible food, 10/10 fish menu. Great views of the beach from outside, or you can sit in the pub which has great beers on draught. We will definitely return for more.

16/06/2026: The beach hotel is a great spot to stay at in Downings. I stayed here with a few friends and we were very impressed. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and held to a very high standard. All the staff throughout the hotel were brilliant. Amy at reception, all the bar staff right through to the night porter all had us well looked after. You couldn't go wrong with this hotel, thanks all!

02/06/2026: Had a family dinner here and food was delicious and staff where very attentive. Best turkey and ham we have had in a long time. Would of been 5 star only we didn't get to sample the cheesecake as they have ran out! Will be back.

06/06/2026: Stayed in downing Bay hotel along with 40+ other golfers on 4th June 2026 .. what a fabulous hotel very friendly and helpful staff nothing was any bother for them. Rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean would highly recommend this to anyone looking a wee break away . Will definitely return

22/08/2026: Lovely staff and great food selection which was served fast.

20/08/2026: I observed maggie the manager clearly and publicly bullying the staff which was unreal to watch and especially during such a busy part of their shifts where it was hectic. Public humiliation when working at full speed was ridiculous and as someone who has worked in hospitality that was really difficult to watch. Great food, great service, terrible management!
