Wow. First time here and we loved it so much we ate there 3 times over 3 days. Breakfast, lunch (takeaway) and dinner. Every meal exceptional - fresh and plenty. Staff professional yet VERY friendly. When we're back at Downings we'll DEF be calling again. Loved it!

Incredible staff, lovely spacious interior and really good food. Loads of Gluten Free options, not just an after thought. Dropped in for coffee, stayed for dinner and an amazing Pavlova :-) Will be back and back and back again for sure.

Such friendly and attentive staff! Food is out of this world. We went here 3 times over our weekend stay it was that good! Pizza is also amazing! Cant recommend it enough. I

Great spot for a pancake, or a great fry that will keep you full the rest of the day. Pancakes are lovely too! Lovely attentive staff and a pretty quick service. Then you can go for a great walk on the beach nearby to walk it all off!

Ask them for vegan cakes, they’ll definitely have one in summer/Easter/Christmas time and aiming to have it all year round. So you may be lucky getting delicious vegan cake :)

17/05/2026: Had a recent family dinner here and it was 10/10. Attention to detail, beautiful menu options - for a very good price. Whipped goats cheese on sourdough was delicious. Service was brilliant and the staff were lovely. Can’t wait to return!
15/02/2026: This was our 2nd time eating here and i can honestly say this place is fabulous! Food is so fresh and tasty, a real hidden gem in the Downings. Scampi & Fish Tacos are unreal. If you dont eat here you are missing out. Just fab!! Cant wait to return

Beach Hotel

02/06/2026: Had a family dinner here and food was delicious and staff where very attentive. Best turkey and ham we have had in a long time. Would of been 5 star only we didn't get to sample the cheesecake as they have ran out! Will be back.
30/05/2026: I only arrived today for a four day stay and I want to come back already. The welcome you get is heartwarming, the rooms are beautiful and spotless and the food in the restaurant is to die for. Congratulations to all the management and staff for simply doing things right ✅️
