Amazing place to eat with exceptional staff (Therese) - lovely atmosphere and highly recommend the carrot cake!

We had a mini and a vegetarian breakfast at this beautiful restaurant and both were amazing. Staff was lovely as well! We will surely come back on our next trip to Ireland.

The Gate is hands down my go-to spot whenever I’m in Navan. It’s the only place I trust for proper, freshly made food that hits the spot every time. The homemade soups are absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly made from scratch. I had the chicken Caesar salad on my last visit and it was perfect: crisp lettuce, juicy chicken, and the dressing was just right. Their wraps are always fresh and generously filled, you can really taste the quality. The service is super friendly and welcoming, which makes all the difference. You feel looked after from the moment you walk in. Whether you are popping in for a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed lunch, The Gate always delivers. Can’t recommend it enough!

We stopped into The Gate Restaurant in Navan as a family of four and were absolutely delighted with the experience. From start to finish, everything was spot on. We had two fresh scones to start, warm, buttery and just the right amount of crumbly. The full Irish breakfast was perfectly cooked and piping hot, the club sandwich was packed with flavour, and the fish and chips were fresh and flaky with a lovely crispy batter. The service was brilliant, friendly, quick and welcoming and the menu had loads of great options for everyone, which is no small thing when you're feeding a family! Plenty of choice, whether you're after a light bite or something more hearty. Coffee was also very good, rich, smooth and served nice and hot. We’ll definitely be back. A gem of a spot in Navan.

Wonderfully charming restaurant located in town centre with helpful and friendly staff, fast service, wide menu and absolutely delicious food all at a very affordable price. We had soup and toasties and it's no exaggeration to say it was the best soup we've ever had. Toasties made with real cooked ham too! Can't wait to visit again.

An amazing cafe in the centre of Navan. We were welcomed by the lovely hosts. They were so friendly & we had some lovely conversation with them. The food was delicious. A very cozy spot. We would 100% come back here again :)
