The Gateway Hotel in Swinford

We had a fantastic three days stay in the hotel lovely food friendly staff and very helpful. We recommend staying at the gateway hotel.

The staff here really are exceptional. A cold & hungry group of us stopped here on a very very wet Friday morning just after breakfast had finished & nearly an hour before lunch started. !!. We would have settled for a hot coffee but the staff had better idea's - would we like fresh scones - most certainly we would !!. out came huge hot scones as if straight from the oven, with butters, jams, etc., offers of home made bread, sandwiches, toast & best of all a plate of scrumptious hot sausages !!. Once lunch started the restaurant was very busy but we, in a corner of the bar weren't forgotten - tea & coffee refilled promptly & always with a smile & reassurance we weren't outstaying our welcome - old ladies do like to chat !!. Irish hospitality at its best. Thank You Gateway Swinford, we will be back.!!

A great hotel with generously sized excellent, quality food. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and designed to give a personal dining experience. All staff are very helpful & friendly. Free parking all around. An absolute must if you are ever visiting or driving through Swinford Town.

We had food there recently and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar. We will definitely go back.

Went here for dinner last night. Lovely welcome, plenty on the menu, delicious food and good portions. Would come back!!!

For dinner seated in dark poorly lit closed in area that had steps up to it even though we had a stroller! Window-lit booths at the front went empty. Food was average and pricey. Desserts disappointing. Room was pokey, not well-laid out and noisy from the corridor as was at the top of the stairs. Bathroom needs updating. Enquired about staying on another night (a Monday) and was quoted the same price as the weekend nights - short-sighted, decided against staying as a result. Difficult to get an answer on the reception. Wouldn’t choose to stay again.

Had lunch here a few Sundays ago and it was delicious staff were sound very competitively priced I'll definitely be back

We booked a meal here for a group of 13 last Saturday evening, from the moment we landed we were met with friendly staff, the food was delicious and service couldn't have been better, I will definitely return Thank you and keep up the good work

The food was really good here, in a comfortable bar, great friendly service, and a great menu. Three of us all had something different, only small thing to note ..the dish was very small in size. That could have been my luck, the beef was tender and mouthwatering, veg curry was tasty, we will be calling again when in Mayo
