This is a great local pub in Swinford to visit... was up from dublin and had a meal there this evening, the chef went out of his way to make an omelette as one of us dinning was vegetarian. The service was fast and efficient and couldn't recommend more. Also the bar man mick who went out of his way to recommend me a nice wine to go with my meal 10/10 can't wait to dine again
Just after celebrating my Mum's 80th family celebration at the beautiful Gateway Hotel Swinford. And we all had a fabulous time thanks to all the wonderful efficient professional staff especially Colette who I was dealing with when I booked ,she was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother as I had to cancel at one stage as my Mum got called for her hip replacement. Yesterday my partner and I went to do the final touches and they had the room absolutely beautifully set up. On arrival yesterday evening we met a very handsome young buck called Ross and he did the champagne reception with style. His Mum Trish went to great lengths to make our party a huge success. All the staff were absolutely brilliant, especially Katie who took our family portrait. As for the food everybody enjoyed it.lt was top notch. Excellently presented, plenty on the plate and absolutely delicious. The service was unreal.!! The decor of the place absolutely stunning . There is a lovely ambiance as soon as you walk through the door with there fresh flowers & and candles. Love the bathroom with the massive mirror very very important for us ladies and more importantly immaculately clean. Would highly recommend Gateway Hotel for any special occasion. This refurbished dining area is a pleasure to eat in. The staff are helpful friendly and kind. Good food at a reasonable price with a selection of drinks available, Unlikely to find another place in the area with such quality.
