The Gibson Hotel in Dublin

Lovely view close to everything and a team outside

This hotel had the most friendly man on reception, he was wonderful! The breakfast was yummy and the rooms clean and quiet.

I expected a lot more from this hotel. The staff were very nice during our stay and I cannot fault them. We booked the superior super king room and for what we payed it really was just average. The room was mostly clean but I have to say the bathroom tiles need to be deep cleaned. This is of no fault to the cleaners, however, these floors should to be properly cleaned often. No hotel shower floor should look this black, especially inside the shower. The location is amazing and considering our stay was for a concert across the way it was perfect in those terms. I would stay again only for convenience purposes but other than that I wouldn't be pushed.

Impeccable service, the hosts were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was also nice and varied.

The staff were excellent throughout our stay and the hotel was clean, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. We arrived for breakfast at around 9am, so not particularly late, but the cooked breakfast was cold and very poor. The room itself was okay, but quite dark as it overlooked an office block. The biggest issue was that the shower had no hot water, which really isn’t acceptable for a hotel stay. I mentioned the cold breakfast and the lack of hot water at checkout, but the response was just a polite “sorry about that, hopefully we do better next time.” Given the issues raised, that felt fairly dismissive. Good staff, but the basics weren’t right on this stay.

Cool hotel in a good location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean and quiet.

Fair enough for a two-night stay. Location is very close to the tram, which easily takes you to the city centre. There are several options for nearby meals, and parking is very expensive but safe and easy to find. The air conditioning is very noisy, making it hard to sleep. I made a complaint at the reception, but there was no solution.

Our first time at the Gibson and we had a wonderful experience. Arrived a little early to check in and the girl at reception was extremely pleasant and advised us to pop into the bar while she fast tracked our room. While in the bar we decided to have some food which was delicious. Again the bar staff were excellent and friendly. Our room was perfect and while not huge it was ample enough space for us. All in all it was great stay with the Gibson and its location was brilliant. We will be back ❤️
