Went for sunday lunch here, absolutely lovely place very busy when we arrived so service was a little slow, but over all the food was very good! the sunday roast was excellent, and staff were very courteous, there is a Lovely beer garden as well! Very nice experience.

As an American who’d never had a proper Irish Breakfast before, I am stunned by how good this was.

Very nice place, with good food and friendly staff.
Been there with the fam a few times and would definitely visit next time I'm around the area.
Highly recommended.

In an authentic and relaxing atmosphere, we ate wonderfully. The best potatoes of our trip to Ireland and a typical dish not to be missed: bacon and cabbage.

We had a table of 8, all of us really enjoyed the food here. It was arguably the best meal I have had during our trip to Ireland.

We've eaten at the Good House many times under the previous management. They always had two or three good veggie options under both the 'light bites' and 'mains', but along with far too many Irish restaurants, the new management has ditched all but a goats cheese salad (and possibly soup of the day, but we didn't ask) and a tofu and vegetable Massamann curry for main. Our server did suggest that the Marinara pasta could be served without the chicken or prawns, but I had to point out that Parmesan cheese is not suitable for vegetarians (containing animal rennet), and taking that out would leave a bland pasta with tomato sauce.
Curry is always an unimaginative choice as a vegetarian option, as many of us cook better curries, dahls, chillis, etc., at home. In any event, my Massamann curry arrived, scaldingly hot, fresh from the microwave, with chewy cubes of tofu and peppers in an oily coconut sauce, garnished with a pant-liner sized, rubbery naan bread and a stale-tasting popadom. I usually like Massamann curry, but there are better versions served locally. I wouldn't order it again - which, given the lack of alternatives, probably means that it will be a while before we eat at the Good House again.
This is such a shame. They could do an awful lot better.

This place has made me not want to go home. This is truly good food for good prices. All I have to say is wow. This place was so delicious and the person working here was so fast and nice. Couldn't have chose a better place to eat.
