My husband and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch on our way to the beach. Having browsed some menus in the area online, I eventually discovered the Grainstore and am very grateful I did. My husband has not stopped talking about the slow cooked beef short rib and basque cheesecake, and my gazpacho was so full of flavour. All meals are served with a side their own grown leaves and herbs, which is a lovely and unique touch. As a vegan, it can be difficult to find anywhere serving interesting plant based options without going into central Dublin, but they even accommodated me for dessert with a chocolate cake and sorbet. The coffee was also great. The location is fabulous and reminds me of being back in my childhood county in England. Can’t wait to explore the rest of the estate. We’re very lucky to live nearby and will be recommending to friends and family!

We found this place "by accident". Its located on an old castle ground and they also have a little shop, cafe and Pizza place. I had the slow cooked beef and I must say for 26€ I was absolutely blown away. I had no expectations coming here but I was very impressed. The food quality is top notch and the kitchen definetly knows what they are doing! For desert I had the basque cheesecake which comes with an incredible elderflower sorbet. I will be coming back here 100%. One of the best values for money you can get in my opinion.

An absolute five-star lunch from start to finish. The seasonal menu is exceptional with so much of the produce grown on the estate itself giving every dish an extra level of freshness and quality. The food was sensational the wine was delicious and the service was outstanding.
A special mention to the waiting staff and the lady on front of house who were incredibly welcoming attentive and accommodating even though we arrived as walk-ins. Their warmth and professionalism really made the experience.
The Grain Store is a hidden gem that deserves far more recognition. Every time I've visited it has been consistently excellent. I genuinely can't find a single fault. A truly outstanding dining experience and I'll definitely be back.

This place is exceptional. From the beautiful setting and stylish décor to the warm, attentive staff, everything was spot on. The food was delicious, with generous portions. Considering the quality and portion sizes, it was also very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back soon.

The top three meals I’ve had in this country since moving here have been at The Grain Store. We often question why it doesn’t get as much foodie attention. Maybe because it’s mostly a lunch restaurant? Regardless, it’s a delight. The food is consistently delicious. I feel like the mark of a really good restaurant is in how the veg is treated and here it’s not just grown onsite but it’s prepared so beautifully.
The restaurant itself is also filled with light, cozy fire and woodsmoke, antiques and paintings.

Lovely restaurant and food. We went for Easter and we were welcomed from the door by a light scent of burning wood and candles lid on every table. At first when we looked at the menu we thought that this might be one of those pretentious restaurants that charge a lot for just a little bit of food that is nothing exceptional but we were so wrong. Portions are generous, food is delicious and intricate and prices are reasonable. Definitely recommended and would love to go back again.
