30/09/2024: Excellent food and service. Loved the cappuccino cake, a nice variation on tiramisu.

29/09/2024: Food was very good and so is the venue. Unfortunately majorly let down by poor service which can only be attributed to poor training. The girl serving us in her defence, was new but again if she was properly trained would not have caused any issue. Before we ordered our food I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a cocktail. The cocktail arrived but no sign of my beer. Eventually our server came back to say they did not have the beer I ordered (Imperial Pale Ale) a bit bemused that it took so long to come back to tell me this but okay I’ll get over it. I ordered a different beer (Moretti). Again after a long wait the waitress came back to say that they did not have that beer either. I then asked for another beer (Hophouse) and again after a long wait a different waitress came to explain that they only had a limited amount of beers on draught because they were renovating their main bar!! You would think I would have been told this in the first instance. I should point out that the beers I had ordered were all still present on the drinks menu. Either the staff should be instructed to tell customers that the beers are limited for above reason or better still add a piece of paper to the menu with a paper clip or something (to avoid reprinting) that states this. Basic stuff. Starters and main course came, I had asked for an extra side dish. I got two extra side dishes, when I pointed this out I was told not to worry it was an error and would not be charged. The girl had to be called back to take our dessert order as she had basically forgotten we were even there. To top things off I was charged for the extra side dish on the bill and had to get it removed. Table behind us with a large amount of people and a different wait person were having similar issues to ourselves. A nice venue, nice food, poorly trained staff.
