Had an amazing breakfast at The Grumpy Bakers! The food here is excellent and of high quality. Portion sizes are great, and both the sandwich and the pastries were absolutely perfect. The coffee is also excellent. Highly recommended!

There are rules and there is common sense. Insisting a young family with two infants wait before taking a seat when half the seats are unfilled is witless. Young server with the mohawk needs training and some. Almond croissant is on point.

Sourdough is excellent here. A true mark of a great bread is that you can eat it by itself. Jalapeño and cheddar SD is an icon.

02/08/2026: I call this the taste of home. The jianbing and cold noodles taste exactly like home. Everytime we came to Cork I had to order food from here. If you want to try good Chinese street food, here it is. Highly recommend! And the drink, go for the tropical one, it might be more expensive than the other ones, trust me, well worth it!
