Great atmosphere, Martin (the landlord) made us feel very welcome, the food was delicious, a toastie one night, Pan fried salmon another & than our night there was specials on. R.beef, chick & bacon, 2x pan fried salmon & a steak burger, all came with veg & pot's and all was simply delicious, couldn't fault the food, the service,the atmosphere not even the prices. Put it on your list if you're visiting Kilrush x

Nice pub, not much of a vibe for a Sunday night, but the burgers were good. Be careful, you can only eat until 7 p.m.

Johnson's Bar

19/10/2025: Just walked in off the street and felt like home. The owner and staff invited us to a rowing contest. If you are looking for that spot to relax not worrying about Drama or how your hair looks. They will welcome you home
06/09/2025: A group of us from out of town stumbled across this friendly, welcoming bar while celebrating, and wandered in due to the "Live Music" sign. It's bigger than it looks, and the bartender we had that night is lovely! The music was great, lots of country classics, space to do a bit of jiving, waltzing or the quick step, and the singer that night took requests. Just don't wander in expecting to stay for "just the one," stay a while and soak in the atmosphere!

Silver House

05/08/2025: Excellent Chinese, full menu with lots of choices. Service was friendly and the food delicious. We ate in the dining room and enjoyed a pot of tea with our meal. They were very busy with take out, yet took great care of us too. Highly reccomend!
26/07/2025: The food was well prepared and very fresh. I had the General Tso Chicken It was very tasty. Plus 10 stars for the tea! A classic Chinese black tea which paired well with my meal. My experience was excellent! Our server was very attentive and genuinely concerned that I was completely satisfied with my meal. The restaurant was clean and I noticed that they sanitized the tables and chairs after each guest. So very important in today's world. As a visitor to Kilrush I was happy to visit Silver House and would dine here again.
