I had a great dinner at The Holy Grail with my wife! The food was excellent, they had a very nice selection, and I had a lovely conversation with the kitchen staff (shoutout to Jo!) Would highly recommend for any visit to New Ross for a nice dinner.
We arrived just as the restaurant opened, quiet and server still cleaning from the previous night service. To start we started with the lollipop chicken to share was nice and tender. For the main my partner got a chicken korma which she rated highly. For my own main I got a lamb jalfrezi which was strange to say the least and not tasting like any Iv had before extremely chicken based taste with little to now spice. I also got a Tiger beer draught pint which was very flat even for tiger beer.
It’s a shame that this place isn’t more authentic. When I’m craving Indian, I want Roti, Paneer, Daal. None of these white washed meals. The pasta tasted like a curry which is what I found the funniest. It’s decent by New Ross standards, but as someone who’s from Dublin, I won’t be eating here again.
The Holy Grail,a spectacular restaurant with kind staff always ready to help.Never once was I not happy with service, food is made freshly and tastes great many options for vegetarians and vegans. The HG also informs you about allergies which is very helpful. The good to go bag is very convenient for not wasting food and is overall imacalant. Kind regards,Charlotte
