Chopin's Cafe & Restaurant

10/08/2026: We were very happy with the food we ordered for my son's birthday party. It arrived exactly on time and was hot/ready to serve in bain maries, which meant we did not have to worry about reheating etc and that people could serve themselves in a very relaxed fashion. Everyone enjoyed their me and we even had enough to send people home with extra portions etc. Would highly recommend Catering Tralee and we would definitely order again.
10/08/2026: We ordered catering for our daughter’s birthday party and we were absolutely delighted with the service provided from Catering Tralee. Monika was a pleasure to deal with at all times and very helpful in advising regarding food options. The food itself was absolutely gorgeous and very plentiful and all our guests were very complementary. We will definitely be choosing Catering Tralee for any future special occasions. Thank you so much Monika!

Convivium Italian

21/09/2026: We discovered Convivium about two weeks ago completely by chance, while walking around Tralee. It is tucked away on a little street near the car park where we had left the car, and we certainly weren’t looking for an Italian restaurant that day. What drawn us towards them was the smell. There was something coming from the kitchen that was so beautifully familiar: the unmistakable aroma of an Italian home on a Sunday, when a Nanny’s ragù or something delicious is slowly cooking and you already know, before sitting down at the table, that you are going to eat well. Then we looked at the menu. We saw parmigiana. As Italians, at that point we really had no choice but to go in. And what we found behind that door was a little corner of authentic Italy in Tralee. The food is simply wonderful. There are different kinds of lasagne, beautifully made and full of flavour. The meatballs in tomato sauce are exactly what proper Italian meatballs should be:l. And the parmigiana is simply divine. Truly. The kind of dish that makes an Italian very happy and proud and also very demanding about when they can have it again. What I particularly love is the attention to the ingredients. This is not generic “Italian-style” food. You find excellent Italian products, from Sardinian salt to a genuinely beautiful extra virgin olive oil, and you can taste the difference straight away. There is authenticity in the details, and that matters enormously when the cuisine itself is built on simplicity and the quality of staples. Maybe the loveliest part of discovering Convivium was meeting Max and Tamara, though. They are two absolutely delightful people, warm, genuine and visibly passionate about what they do. Max is an exceptionally talented chef, and his love for Italian food and culture comes through while cooking his “sugo”. He has already become well known in Ireland for appearing on RTÉ, bringing a little of the Bel Paese to the Emerald Isle, and after tasting his food it is honestly easy to understand why. Tamara brings her own warmth and elegance to the place. Together, they create something that goes beyond simply serving excellent food. There is generosity, enthusiasm and a real pleasure in welcoming people and sharing what they love. Convivium has that rare quality that cannot be manufactured: it feels genuine. The food is made with knowledge and heart, the ingredients are chosen with care, and the people behind it make you want to come back as soon as possible. ❤️🇮🇹
02/06/2026: Always good, real Italian food by Italian family.
