Reviewing the Huntsman Gastropub: The food was on point presentation. Mushroom soup of the day, delicious. Fish & chips, some of the best we have had in Ireland. The chicken, also very good. Portions are large.

All sorts of dirty and garbage around the window sills by the front entrance was a bad 1st impression and we were concerned right off the bat. However, staff were fantastic when we came in and got a late dinner and that was very good. I couldn't figure out how to temperature control the room so we slept with the inside windows open however it was still quite warm. The 2nd night we went in the lounge / bar for a drink, sat there for about 30 minutes and no one came over to us so we went back to our room. Overall, the place seems well maintained but there was dramatic inconsistency which I've described.

A Galway institution! Probably the most consistent hospitality venue in the world! 😀 These guys have been delivering good food, drink and ambiance for generations. It would be difficult to be disappointed.

This was quite a nice surprise! Fast and easy check-in and check-out. Our room was large and very comfortable, the bathroom was great and the water pressure nice. It’s a little bit out of the tourist Galway city center (20 minutes walk, 5 minutes drive), but it’s worth it. Very decently priced, and the restaurant serves excellent food and drinks.

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary meal when we arrived in galway. The waitress was amazing and made us feel so at home. Had the best Guinness and blackcurrant ive ever had. The meal that we had was incredible. The female waitress that served us is a credit to this establishment. Her table manner is incredible.
