The John Barry Bar in Wexford

A brilliant night of traditional music by excellent musicians and singers. Even the barman sang a solo that brought the pub to a standstill while he was still pouring pints.

I went here on a Thursday evening with a group of about 8 from work. The pub is small and very very busy. There was a ballad session on, the atmosphere was brilliant and the Guinness was even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the night.

If it weren't for the distance I would have found my favorite pub.

The pub has a very nice atmosphere and the staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Whilst we did not eat, they have a reasonable priced and varied menu. They sold the usual Diageo ales found in most of Irelands pubs, and as a real ale drinker I settled for a 12 year old Tullamore. Worth noting they have a very large collection of whiskeys. My wife settled for a New Zealand Pinot Grigio. Highly recommended..
