Very beautiful for photos. Come as a Sunday tourist because it's crowded, very crowded. There are bars, live music outside, and street art. If you come in early fall, bring raincoats because it rains constantly.

In 60 minutes: wonder through Eyre Square, admire the colorful Latin Quarter, catch live music on Quay Street, and spot a handful of quirky hidden sculptures). It’s walkable, vibrant, and packed with history, art, even in fast-forward. Be warned: an hour only scratches the surface. You’ll leave wanting more. Consider staying the night, this city deserves it

Even though the weather is cool and rainy, it's a colourful and cheerful place with many bars, cafes and shopping venues where everyone is out on the streets... It creates an atmosphere that makes you say, "I'm so glad I came to Galway."

01/11/2025: Enjoyed a wonderful lunch today in the company of other travelers in this exciting city of Galway. It was a nice surprise to stumble upon a restaurant that catered to my dietary needs. The menu wasn't overwhelming and there was a nice variety of choices to choose from. I ordered the Terryland Reuben with a vegan cheese which was VERY good and afterwards enjoyed a complimentary slice of vegan cake that was absolutely lovely. The portions were perfect! I actually left with the cake in a take out container. If you're looking for a quaint and affordable restaurant to enjoy a vegan meal, this is the place!
30/10/2025: We had an incredibly delicious meal here. Finding good restaurants isn't always easy for vegans. And the chai was so good! Highly recommended for visitors to Galway.
