Every time I’m in Ireland, we visit the Lavey Inn - Seamus & team are warm & welcoming. Whether it’s soup, tea or a pint - it’s all yummy. We even have a ‘regular table’ by the window. 🙏🏻

2 very hungry adults, and a 10 year old "fussy eater." Confined to a campervan for 6 days, we were on our last night. Needed something special to finish off the week. Found a recommendation and decided to drive 20 minutes out of our way to check it out. After all the roadworks, we were VERY hangry when we arrived. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were on a winner. Two wonderful local waiting staff couldn't do enough for us. Lovely Cavan accents. "Fussy 10 year old" ordered prawns, with rice, no sauce. No problem. My companion ordered curry. I ordered the T bone, "Can you do garlic potatoes with that?" No problem. Would you like cheese on them? No problem. Everything was a delight. The food was fresh, tasty, and good value. And then dessert. As a coeliac, I usually struggle to find anything appealing. On this extensive menu, I had great choice. Freshly made Eton mess. WOW!! I hope to return. 💯✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Thank you to Seamus and all his lovely staff for looking after our large rambling club group of 51 people so well. He opened his 'events' room for us all at short notice and provided a lovely light lunch during the restaurant's very busy Sunday lunchtime period. It was very much appreciated by our club. Helen's Bar

09/09/2024: Visiting from the UK to do the Wild Atlantic Way. You definitely want to divert to experience Helen’s Bar. We arrived early and the bar was alive with a great atmosphere. We had a wonderful warm welcome from the staff and of course Helen who engaged with us straight away and ensured we had a table as soon as possible. Couldn’t resist the mussels and open prawn sandwich both were delicious and such good value. It also provides an overnight stay in their car park, what’s not to like. We have been blown away by the hospitality we have received during our trip so far. We would certainly highly recommend Helen’s Bar for breakfast, lunch or dinner it’s fantastic. It s also a B&B. Thank you Helen and her hard working staff for making our evening very special. Andrea and Tony
10/07/2024: Every time I visit I wonder why I don’t visit more often. This is such a beautiful setting and such great food. Gourmet meals at less than takeaway prices. And Helen and her staff are such wonderful hosts. the best fish and chips in Ireland. If not the world
