Met friends here before a Munster game. Lovely old establishment only a short walk from Pairc Ui Chaoimh. We were able to book a table, have a nice meal And a couple of pints. Staff were friendly, efficient & helpful. A wonderful atmosphere pre game with a friendly crowd. Highly recommend this venue for a pre/post game.

Food,service & atmosphere are top class. Recently had a Christmas get together & the staff were amazing, the DJ was fantastic & the food was plentiful. Will definitely visit again

The pizza was not horrible. It's more of a pub with food. Then a place to go for dinner. Not many food options, but the prices were great, staff was really nice. I would go back again for a pint.

The man who runs the speed quiz on Thursday nights has the ability to smell around corners. Gazelle instinctively run at the sight of him. In addition to running quizzes, he delivers babies in the back of Taxi cabs, finds homes for wayward iguanas, and discovered the color violet. Overall, five stars

5 stars - A Splash-tastic Night at The Leaping Salmon! First off, the vibes are pure magic – cozy corners, friendly staff who treat you like your one of the locals! The pizza menu was filled with lots of comfort food (we shared the black pudding one). But the real star of the show? The weekly quiz night!

We wanted to try The Leaping Salmon after hearing about the quiz hosted there at 8pm on a Thursday night for a while. We had been used to going to The Briar Rose on a Thursday night for a quiz and good time fun and the one in The Leaping Salmon is run by the same team. Very well organised and free to enter :)

I’d give six stars if I could. The pizza is delicious, the beamish is creamy, the quiz is the best way to spend a thursday night & it doesn’t hurt that patrick behind the bar is easy on the eyes 😉

Mahers Pure Coffee

04/10/2025: Mahers Pure Coffee is a lovely cafe in the middle of the city. We came in to purchase coffee and equipment. They havewide selection of items for making coffee. They have a lovely coffee selection as well. We bought their hazelnut coffee, which is super popular. The team was friendly enough... The smell of coffee is very nice. I could stay there for a good while. It is downtown and central. They are wheelchair accessible. There is wheelchair accessible parking nearby.
08/09/2025: Such a great selection of coffee. Got set up on a monthly subscription and absolutely love it!!
