Very pleasant staff and great atmosphere

Super cozy with an open fire in the fireplace. Food fresh, hot and delicious. Really recommended! The service was also very nice and helpful. The Seafood Medley is particularly recommended!

Stopped by for lunch. Restaurant has great food (loved the seafood chowder), good service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We nearly didn’t come here because of some of the reviews, however we’re so glad we ignored them. I stopped off here with my family of 11 people and we had a lovely time. The food was really nice and the staff friendly and attentive. They even opened the food store just for us to have a look. We would come back here in a heart beat.

Just had a great seafood meal here, it was just excellent.

We wanted to go for a nice meal for our wedding anniversary last night and we found it. The long Dock Restaurant was lovely. Gorgeous food, the staff were excellent and friendly, there was a lovely feeling to the place. Their prices were reasonable for high quality food. Good luck to all the staff. We are from Roscommon.

Food was good, but not excellent, overpriced, but well presented and staff excellent at their job, definitely worth visiting

I love West Clare and everything about it. I spent every childhood summer there and am very slow to criticise establishments here. However, a lovely days outing to Carrigaholt was marred by 2 meals at The Long Dock. 1. We paid €15.95 for the Special Crab Salad starter and received a tiny bowl with salad and about a tablespoon full of crab meat. The dressing was basically mayo Mary Rose sauce or thousand island dressing. A very lazy serving suggestion. 2. We later decided to give them a second try (wife's idea) We had the turkey and stuffing as we assumed that even a really poor chef couldn't mess that up and to be fair the meat was done nicely but the veg was pretty dry, the green peas were all wrinkled up on the serving bowl. Portions were also very neuvea cuisine for a seaside home cooking type of place therefore not good value to me. 3. Earlier in the day I saw a staff member being served the wagu burger ( tall chap , dark hair with a mullet cut) The burger looked great, real tall , served with chunky fries. Just like the pictures posted on here. Alright I thought , game on. Unfortunately the burger I received was a 'smash' burger where they flatten the meat pattie to about 6mm thick. A trend sweeping establishments in Ireland to cut costs. The meat itself was pretty good but the miserly additions to the burger were very sparce and disappointing with no type of sauce, pickle, relish or anything of the like present. So a pretty dry affair in all. The chips/fries were not of the chunky style but skinny , dry cheap fries that were not palatable. In addition whilst standing outside taking a photo one of the staff barged past me to deliver food , elbowing in the back , without a sorry or excuse me. I imagine they picked that up from the owner as she walked right through me bringing people to a table, no manners displayed at all. She also stood like a Gestapo soldier at the door glaring at the customers. The other staff were very pleasant and helpful especially the 2 guys behind the bar, really nice chaps. Get yourself a toasted sandwich from across the road and a pint from Carmodys , much better Guinness and they won't mind you sitting on their benches.
