23/04/2026: Great place. Great food. The food in this place is amazing I had the Lamb shank which just cam off the bone.

19/04/2026: 19-04-26. Unfortunately no photo's. Possible next time. My birthday. My wife reserved a table for 3 at 13:30. Face of building: classical. inviting. Its like going back in time. Bit like peaky blinders. So to speak. Inside the building i loved the atmosphere. Light. Not dark. Classic paintings. High ceiling etc. It was only a bit fresh inside. My wife wore a t-shirt and had to put back her coat on. That is not negative to Millstone itself. Maybe the indoor temperature could set a slight bit higher. However. This aside. It did not influence our mood in the slightest. The seating can be perceived as a bit tight but we were all comfortable nonetheless. Service: at the door we showed our reservation to a pleasant young man and were shown to our place. For me it was a premium seat in the front and I could look outside. Observing people outside passing by in the fresh yet nice sunny weather this day we were blessed with. The waitress was lovely and pleasant. She was recently quick in taking our orders, 2 beef burgers with frites, 1 steak (medium rare) with frites. 2 coke zeros and 1 Fanta. There was water in a glass bottle and it was fresh, and good water. Now...the food itself. We didn't had to wait too long. It was well presented on a wonderful plate. I had the medium rare steak with frites. There was frites, a bit of salad..not too much. Very light. Could be seen as a garnish. But its in the eye of the beholder to decide. The medium rare steak with some herbs and a sauce that you can pour over the steak. Now: Frites well baked and also powdered with a nice salt pepper kind combination. It was delicious. I dipped some of the frites in the sauce and it was like entering heaven. But that was not the biggest of deliciousness. The little bit of salad was fresh ingredients and it tasted absolutely lovely. I used the sauce provided for the medium rare steak. The first bite. The combination of the taste of the medium rare stake, herbs and the sauce. Wow. I closed my eyes and let each chew and the mixed flavours saviour a bit in my mouth. It was like I was on a different yet amazingly beautiful planet so to speak. I do not exaggerate by saying it like that. For me that is. Each bite was joyous, delicious, heavenly. I told the waiter afterwards to compliment the chef for this delicious food. My wife and daughter greatly enjoyed the beef burgers they got. It was all well done. Then we asked for the bill. The waiter asked if this was a special occasion. Which it was as it was my birthday. Well a bit later they presented us with a desert of chocolate mouse in a glass with nice crunchy bits. Presented by a "happy birthday" song and Happy Birthday written by mocha lettering on a plate. Again well presented. It all tasted wonderful. This was the first time in my life something like this happened. Felt a bit awkward, but happy. This was the best part of my birthday. I thank Millstone very much for allowing us to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Regarding the price. My wife was also happily surprised. So price and food quality and atmosphere was all a big plus. Thank you for the two people serving us for making a special day even more amazing. They deserve a pay rise for certain and also the people in the kitchen. I highly recommend Millstone for a nice time complimented with great food and pleasant staff. Thank you so much.
