The Lucky Duck in Dublin

Small pub with big windows on the corner of a building. They had a TV showing Premier League. Their prices were decent, cheaper than other pubs down the road closer to Temple Bar. It has a good ambience inside, it's dark with some fine moodsetting candles.

Didn't have any food but the bar staff were exceptional, in addition the bouncer was one of the friendliest and most sensible bouncers I've met

Overall, the food and drinks were excellent—the steak, in particular, was one of the best I’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The atmosphere of the pub was great, beautifully decorated and the service was initially attentive. However, there was a bit of confusion with our order. We were served fries we hadn’t ordered, and we assumed they were part of the meal as described on the menu. Unfortunately, they were later added to the bill. While the bartender was kind enough to try to resolve the issue, the manager seemed unwilling to address our concerns, which left us feeling a bit disappointed. It’s a shame because the quality of the food was outstanding, there wasn’t a crumb of food left on the plate! If the management were more understanding, it would have made the experience flawless.

I ate great beef, local, Irish atmosphere, nice place for a beer and dinner, I recommend it!

John O'Dwyer's was one of the greatest parts of our Dublin trip. Chris and Eddie were both so friendly! Love when we travel and find a place to go back to every night. Place was packed when we walked in, so Eddie directed us up the stairs to a smaller bar area with a fireplace. Food and service were excellent...so we came back the next night. IT WAS EVEN BETTER! I keep telling my family we need to go back to Dublin so we can hang out at "our" pub. Thanks so much!

I dropped into O'Dwyer's for lunch. It was great.

We loved our evening at John O'Dwyer's! The bar downstairs was full, so we were directed to the bar upstairs. It was so cozy and quaint. The owner spent time taking care of us as if we were his only guests. What originally was a stop in for a pint ended up a whole night of drinks, dinner, and great conversation! Live music started downstairs and was piped into the speakers so that we could enjoy it as well. The food was very good too.

Primero, para aclarar, comí en el restaurante de arriba llamado Bombay Butter Club - parece ser parte de este negocio - pero en Google en este momento se muestra como cerrado permanentemente a pesar de que estuve allí hace unos 3 meses. So. . . Me gustó mucho el enfoque de estilo de tapas indias de alta gama - las samosas eran las mejores que he tenido en cualquier lugar y he tenido mucho en los diferentes lugares que he vivido en los EE.UU.. Y el entorno era genial - sala de salón pintoresco estilo de la vieja escuela de las Islas Británicas.
