Stayed in the Martello a few times haven't been since 2020.. and came back for a night Saturday, the service staff food and cocktails are still amazing.. but omg the noise from the night club is so loud when your in room 106.. and hoovering at 7 in the morning is a bit much.. however the noise can't be helped still amazing place to stay for a night away..

Great spot, although the "live" music kinda ruined the night. Went home early.

We went to the restaurant to eat and we were very happy. Very adequate price quality, with fast service and very good dishes. In addition, the place has a very nice decoration inside.

Absolutely fantastic. Make sure to ask about things to do at the desk. The breakfast is worth it. As always in Ireland, the people are insanely friendly.

My son is home from overseas. We always come to the Martello on occasions like this for the combination of straightforward but nicely prepared meals, friendly relaxed service, pleasant background music, the seafront location and easy parking. And today didn't disappoint. We had tempura battered calamari and pil pil prawns as starters - the calamari wins out.
Our main courses were Wicklow Wolf battered Fish and Chips, a chicken burger with bacon and a cajun chicken sandwich while I had pan-seared hake from the lunch menu. They substituted green veg for the dairy- containing ingredients and it was frankly lovely. Oh and we had chips.

My son is visiting home from abroad. On such occasions we like reliable, welcoming places like the Martello. The 4 of us shared two starters for lunch, the calamari and the pil-pil prawns. The calamari (in tempura batter) were a good size for sharing and we enjoyed them. As mains we had Wicklow Wolf battered Fish and Chips (for the prodigal son), a chicken burger sandwich with bacon and a cajun chicken burger sandwich. I went for the pan-seared hake from the lunch menu. As I don't do dairy, they kindly substituted green veg and chips. And it was lovely!
We like Martello for the friendliness, the straightforward food with consistent quality and the seafront location with easy parking.
