Hotel in the center of Cork, excellent service, clean and very friendly and kind staff

Great Hotel, a little jaded, needs a bit of a makeover.

The one night stay was wonderful. Great location and very pleasant staff. Thought the breakfast service waa a bit slow as we had to wait over 10min to order. Other than that, all good. Food was delicious!

Christmas at the Metropole was amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a pampered Christmas amazing food and great entertainment, service and staff were top notch 👌

Dinner at The Met was delightful. The menu presented a wide range of choices and the wine list was superb. Fantastic experience! Our server, Taylor, was exceptional. She was most attentive to us and very responsive to our requests.

No tv working in bar,TV in room not working,lift also not working

Hi all. We checked in after 8pm & was greeted nicely by the reception girl, needed a bit more info too explain exactly where the car park is situated, the entrance is around the corner. We stayed in room 304 and cannot fault the room whatsoever. Plenty of usb ports, fast wifi, pod machine, massive room, heaps of fluffy white towels, robes, slippers, kind size bed. Popped into “Thompsons” the pub to the right of the hotel, this pub is amazing, friendly helpful staff, fantastic home brew beers. As we arrived late (10pm) the restaurant in the pub was closed (this is understandable) But the staff recommended the pizza place across the road (Four star pizza) which was bloody amazing pizza. NB: when visiting a new part of the world I recommend you make an effort, talk to locals, be polite, ask questions & don’t be rude or ignorant. By doing this you will find your holidays to be as awesome as ours. Lastly don’t go cheap, pay extra and have a fab experience. ✌🏼

Great location in the city. A very historic lady with a lovely ambiance.

Delightful dinner. We enjoyed our stay in Cork and especially this lovely hotel. Tired from trip to Cobh we decided to dine in hotel. So glad we did. Platter of local cheeses was delicious as was the locally smoked salmon. Our waiter Nico was so helpful and recommended a nice Malbec. Violetta, manager, stopped by our table and we enjoyed talking with her. We lingered with tea and Irish Coffee. Go there!!
