The Metropole Hotel Cork in Cork

Lovely hotel in a central location.

After our recent stay in can only say how wonderful an experience it was, the room was excellent, the staff were lovely, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The good was 10/10. Would highly recommend staying at this venue!

Great craic. Very good location. Very good walls. Only complaint is how they painted over the tile in the bathroom. Did not look very professional and probably contributed to the shampoo bottle coming off the wall. Also, no conditioner, just a shampoo-conditioner combo that does not condition at all.

Visited for a convention this weekend, the staff were incredibly inviting and polite, the venue is beautiful, and the rooms are incredibly high quality. 10/10 Customer service, quality of hotel in general, and food! The food was lovely

I normally do not post reviews for hotels but the Staff here was super friendly and inviting. The breakfasts were amazing. As an American who loves their A/C I was a little worried they don't have it but with the windows opening and a fan it was quite pleasant in the room. It is located in a great spot within walking distance of the trains and buses and plenty of food and shopping areas. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever back in Cork.

Specifically for the The Breakfast had Gluten Free options for sausages, puddings and hash browns which was great for my wife who is Celiac which can be a challenge. So if you need a gluten free full Irish this is the best we found so spread the word! Also I want to mention the host for breakfast Lorainne and give her a shout out! She was so nice and accommodating about gluten free food options and gave us a really warm Cork welcome Good prices and the Shakshouka was lovely if you want a change from a full Irish.

Didn't stay overnight but was at private event. Food below par for what I expected and food received not what was on menu. Also, very small portions for cost. Staff impeccable and the room was beautiful. Food a let down.

The hotel's best asset is its location. Just cross the river and you're on St. Patrick's Street, the heart of the city's shopping district. Otherwise... it's very beautiful from the outside, with a very attentive reception area with very friendly staff, a lovely bar/breakfast spot overlooking the river, and little else. The hotel doesn't have its own parking, which is understandable given its location, but the deal with the nearby parking lot isn't that cheap. If I remember correctly, I paid €12 for one day. The room had a bathtub, not a shower, and it was very noisy. You could hear people on the street until 3 a.m. Not good. Breakfast was included in the morning, but it was a shame only the cold buffet was available; hot dishes were paid for separately.

El Met Bar es una gran opción si estás de humor para una pinta o un cóctel o dos. El ambiente es agradable y casual, y el servicio es excepcional, incluso cuando están ocupados. Realmente disfrutamos hablando con Kevin, Callum y Herve; que hicieron nuestra estancia de 2 días en Cork que mucho más agradable!

Gran servicio de Callum y Caoimhe. A pesar de que no reservamos, nos tomamos una copa mientras esperamos una mesa y no tuvimos que esperar mucho. Tuvimos una cena de dos platos que fue muy agradable, volveremos 😀
