The Metropole Hotel Cork in Cork

Had a great stay. Spacious and clean room. Bed and pillows were first class. Great location with supermarket and wine bar only metres away.

Booked MET room Snug area for a Christmas lunch. Lovely private space to chat properly. Hotel is brilliantly located on McCurtin street, next to the Everyman and the Christmas decorations were beautiful in reception. Really festive feel on entering. Thank you Evie events coordinator who we booked the snug through.

This was our5th stay in this hotel and it was really good The staff are really friendly.The beds are very comfortable.,and the food was lovely ,breakfast very nice.

Great Hotel, a little jaded, needs a bit of a makeover.

The one night stay was wonderful. Great location and very pleasant staff. Thought the breakfast service waa a bit slow as we had to wait over 10min to order. Other than that, all good. Food was delicious!

Christmas at the Metropole was amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a pampered Christmas amazing food and great entertainment, service and staff were top notch 👌

La cena en el Met fue encantadora. El menú presentaba una amplia gama de opciones y la carta de vinos era excelente. Fantástica experiencia! Nuestro servidor, Taylor, fue excepcional. Ella era muy atento a nosotros y muy sensible a nuestras peticiones.

Very tasteful decor in the restaurant - ambient, welcoming, stylish . Kudos to the interior designer. Very nice bar area too. Food was nice - 2 of us had the hake and another had the steak. No mashed potatoes available, only chips which was a pity - perhaps this could be reviewed? Desserts were tasty and well presented - good variety to choose from. Wine list extensive and impressive . Waiters not very knowledgeable on the menus - which was disappointing. Male staff were all very pleasant, friendly and well presented - dressed very neatly in smart uniforms - a credit to the Met restaurant. Not intrusive when enquiring if meals were up to standard. Manageress came across as gruff and looked a little unkept for a 4 star hotel. Staff need to be better trained on a few points to make the visit truly enjoyable. Pleasant evening was had overall as the location is great and restaurant itself beautifully laid out and very clean. Very impressive entrance to the hotel also. Bathrooms very clean - which is always a plus!
