The Monread in Naas legal town

Tried this place having not previously heard of it. Very quiet on a Monday afternoon but the food was delicious. The sizzling seitan steak was delicious. Brought the kids and they thought the pizza was delicious too. Will be back for more grub soon.

I was so looking forward to going here as I'd heard rave reviews about it for years. A group of us went on a weekend evening. Booked a table a couple of weeks in advance as it was a birthday celebration, emailed the day before to confirm, which they did. Got there and no booking. They accommodated us regardless. Food was alright. Various different dishes had, and nobody really was impressed. Staff were like hens' teeth. Normally, in other eateries, servers are very attentive, but here, they were hard to flag down. The only saving grace was the bingo. We asked for a birthday dessert, which they brought out and sang happy birthday. That was lovely and appreciated.

This place was incredible, I knew when I sat down and they dropped our drinks down and my blackcurrant wasn’t watery, it was gonna be good. The menu was so vast it was slightly overwhelming however, when I landed on my decision, salt and chilli chicken.. it was incredible. My girlfriend got the buttermilk tenders, and those 3 sauces she got were laced in something it was absolutely delicious. I’m only here for another day but I’d highly recommend it to EVERYONE, food for everyone here lads!

Went there on Tuesday with 6 people and must say food and service was first class,We all had main meals and deserts ,All 6 all enjoyed meals and deserts,Definitely worth the journey from Dublin ,Highly recommend and will b back

We’re just back from dinner in the Monread … what can I say…. Absolutely amazing food, cocktails , service and atmosphere… I’d give it 11 out of 10 if I could. We loved it, and booked our next stay before we left … amazing!!!!

Highly recommend the Monread for a really nice place to go for a meal out. I booked a table for 8 people and our table was ready when we arrived, the food came out really fast, everything was delicious. For my main, I had the Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was tasty. I will return at the first opportunity I get. I visited again this weekend and had the chicken teriyaki sizzler and really enjoyed it. It is always a pleasure to go to the Monread for a meal.

food was delish, but was really disappointed that staff tried to charge an extra fee for me substituting out bacon in a cheese burger for some onion/tomato instead (as I cant eat bacon). They didn't have it written anywhere on the menu that this would incur a charge, nor was i told by the server that there would be a extra charge while ordering. Food manager was not very helpful, claiming that they had worked in restaurants for 20 years and that this was normal. I've never come across this before in any other restaurant as i always order a a small change like this, I was so baffled that a simple substitution of meat for some veg would somehow cost more money. I was made to feel guilty for saying no to this charge, when it was completely uncalled for. Was really excited to try the monread, but left with a sour taste in my mouth unfortunately.

Great to have this establishment in the locality. Not ideal spot to watch a match but perfect for a family dinner.
