The Old Anchor in Annascaul

Very good location in the village and on the dingle way. Comfortable en-suite room, all amenities, very clean, excellent bedding. Courteous welcome. Good welcome despite the delay in my arrival by bus. Very good breakfast. On the negative side, no pressure in the shower and street side room a little noisy in the morning but nothing insurmountable. Several pubs close by. Good step, I advise.

Brian and team are running a truly charming B&B in the idyllic setting of Annascaul. Comfortable rooms, friendly service and a fabulous breakfast. We hope to be back

Windows and curtains were moldy, I thought that was bad. You couldn't leave windows open at night because of traffic. Breakfast was okay, with nicely presented fruit plates on each table. Lunch package was very expensive (12.50) and contained two baked baguette rolls with very little toppings. Otherwise there was fruit, chips and chocolate bars. Overall a bit old, but the breakfast room, for example, is nicely decorated. Very close to the Southpole Inn.

Stayed there on my Dingle Way hike. Everything's clean, breakfast is great and the hosts are kind. What more can you ask for. Thanks for a lovely stay. Regards Lutz
