The Old Bank in Dungarvan

Fantastic day out with our family for mothers day. The Old Bank never dissapoints! Thanks to all the staff, food was fabulous and Brigid was delighted

It took them about 12 months to get it right after opening but now after several visits it's great to see consistency in quality food and service to match. The menu seems to lack variety at first but it actually has plenty of choice and some firm favourites which fo not disappoint. Currently my first choice in Dungarvan. We've had large family gatherings and small group meals. Never anything major to complain about. The great outweighs any negative points.

We were looking very forward to our meal here. The restaurant looks fantastic and had a very inviting and high-class atmosphere (without being overly formal or stuffy). The staff were all friendly, and our food came quickly. However, we were very disappointed in our meals. My pork chop was very dry and had only some very basic lentils and a couple baby carrots with it; my wife's goats cheese salad consisted of some paltry lettuce leaves thrown together haphazardly with cubes of beetroot; and our friend said that the sauce in her seafood pasta was pretty plain. Her partner said that his steak was good, but it was just a good steak – nothing mind-blowing. None of it was bad, but for how much each dish costs, we expected a lot more.

Had dinner here last night and it was lovely. A little pricey for what it was but lovely none the less. Better value with their lunch menu so I'll definitely go back for lunch. I like going there as it's got a nice relaxed atmosphere with good service and it's very clean with great quality offerings. Their whiskey sour is the best I've tried anywhere and the fact they have reduced their cocktail prices is a certainty that we'll continue to return 😉

Beautiful meal here tonight, gorgeous mushroom risotto. And a warm welcome on arrival.

I was very disappointed with my meal. I had macaroni with braised beef. I felt that it was missing something and others in my group felt the same. Another person in the group had the pork and half of it was fat. For dessert, I had the rhubarb tart. I think that they forget to add the rhubarb. It had plenty of almonds and while it tasted nice, it had no taste of rhubarb.

Lovely place to eat first time there nice food fast little bit chilly indoors could have done with the heating turned up very nice experience though
