Ate there once with a group and it was lovely so booked again for me and my boyfriend. A totally different experience, staff were ok but much more welcoming to other tables as another reviewer said. The bistro was very cold, other diners were putting coats on. Our starters were fine, nothing exceptional; Caesar salad and bruschetta. Got 2 steaks for main, smothered in red wine jus which overpowered all flavour and a pathetic baked onion on the side, our chips never came despite me asking our waiter twice. Left hungry and so disappointed. A waste of €110

I realized upon arrival that my booking for seven people hadn't gone through, and the restaurant was completely full. Instead of turning us away, the staff went above and beyond to quickly organize a private room for us so we could celebrate my dad’s birthday. * Service: Truly exceptional and incredibly accommodating. * Food: Absolutely delicious—every plate was a hit. I took my in laws for a post Christmas lunch at the Old Bank in Dungarvan. The food was gorgeous (the chowder was fantastic), though the smoked salmon open faced sandwich could have used more pickles. What really made a difference for us was the attention of the wait staff and the quality of the service. My mother in law is vegan and had a lot of questions and they were so patient and accommodating of her. It really meant a lot to her. Keep it up lads!
