Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended.

The warmest we felt all weekend, so snug, spotless loos; chowder and soup great value and tasted great. 2 glasses ice cold water, no aftertaste. Warm welcome, wifi. Great pitstop on our journey.

Stopped off for dinner on way home. Cajon Chicken burger, Mexican Burger, and Chicken Goujons all got good report, but unfortunately my Hake fish was bad...I expect it sat under the heat lamp for way too long, wasn't hot, neither was the mash potato it sat on. Bad fish in this location was a disappointment...it should have been so much better.

The food, service, atmosphere and staff excel here. I have previously written a review on the Old Thatch many years ago and wish to state that it is as good as it ever was. The fact that there is a constant amount of customers speaks volumes, yet despite being at times extremely busy the food and service is excellent. I would highly recommend a visit here.

As locals to the village we as a family Scully and Mackeys can’t thank Debbie and all her staff enough for there generosity kindness and accommodating over the last two weeks with a double bereavement. We are very lucky to have such a gem in our village food and service always 10/10. Atmosphere always warm and welcoming. Thank you Debbie Sarah and all the staff.

Great restaurant food was great and plenty of it !

Held a graduation party here and it was simply amazing. Debbie and all the wonderful staff went that extra mile to make our day special. We had decided on a set menu so there was place names and menus provided, which was a lovely touch. We were placed in a back section so it felt like we had the place to ourselves - granted it was an afternoon midweek meal.The party was 13 adults and 2 kids (6 & 3) and although the kids menu was prearranged also, the kids wanted something different on the day and they were accommodated with no fuss. In fact, the staff were excellent with the kids who loved the attention. The food was amazing. The starters were Vol au vonts/soup, the mains were salmon/turkey and ham and desserts apple tart/cheesecake - and there was loads of it. It was private enough to partake in a speech to say thanks to those attending and having an old family connection to Debbie there was drinks laid out for the toast that were part of a gift, which was a lovely lovely gift and much appreciated. I couldn't recommend anywhere better for the type of service we received from the first enquiry til we left. Thanks again so much ❤️

We wanted to pop in here many times and finally we made it. You could feel and smell Christmas at the very first step. Clean and tidy place. After we were seated we were informed about the dishes of the day. We ordered (4 people) soup of the day (veg), chowder, Cesar salad, pasta of the day (Cajun), Mexican burger with chips and kids burger with chips. Time between order and serv very good, food fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed of every bite. Really nice and old place, well managed. Money wise also very good. Didn't try deserts cause we were full 😉 We will back there for sure. Oh yes, book the table cause they are not staying empty too long...
