It's one of the top places in Dublin for food. Everything freshly made in their bakery and kitchen. Amazing flavours, colours, and scent. If you are passing by city center, do not miss it out!!! My favourites are the Bacon & Pear sandwich and a slice of their Victoria sponge cake.

Located in a beautiful Georgian building (Powerscourt Townhouse) with tables scattered throughout the atrium, The Pepper Pot is a very pleasant café. The service is impeccable (don't hesitate to leave a tip). The scrambled eggs are to die for, as are the raspberry scones, served on adorable mismatched crockery.

🇺🇸 Lovely service, I fell in love with the Asian girl, she's a sweetheart. The coffee is of great quality. However, if you're looking for a quick coffee, it might not be the best option as the place is quite busy. I intend to go back more often as soon as I can. 🇮🇪 Lovely service, I fell in love with the Asian girl, she's a sweetheart. The coffee is of great quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our teas and pastries on the Pepper Pot cafe balcony at the Powercourt center. Both the almond cake and blueberry muffin were baked to perfection. We’d love to come back and try their lunch options. Deducted a star only because their cups and teapots need a thorough cleaning. Other than that I highly recommend stopping by for a little afternoon pick me up.

Vino a tomar té y algo dulce. Tomó una olla de té con el chorrito de limón y una galleta de chocolate. Deliciosa. Me encantan los platos y tazas peculiares. Ambiente dentro del Powerscourt Centre relajante. Los sándwiches también se ven fabulosos...

Castle Vaults

11/08/2025: 4-star Castle Hotel? My wife and I stayed in Dublin in July, and we were disappointed with the high price of €282.00 per night on offer, and the 4-star rating... which should be reduced. We expected a few more amenities, but the reality was that, although the hotel is historic, beautiful, and centrally located, and they serve a good, standard continental breakfast, we immediately had difficulty finding the location of our room. It's on the fourth floor, behind a fire door and a flight of steps. Could foreign guests be escorted to the rooms and carry their luggage? Unfortunately, the reception only speaks broken English. The double room was small, with a small window that was raised a hand's breadth, blocked, and covered in dust. The bus terminal is right below, and the engine is always running. No air conditioning. On the night of July 13th, it was 30°C (86°F) and very noisy. There's no safe. No mini-fridge. The small bathroom has no window and the exhaust fan is broken. The shower drain is half-clogged, causing anxiety as the water level rises. The sink is small, and there's little space to hang towels. The satellite TV or smart TV had few channels. We've been guests around the world many times and have never found a hotel claiming to be 4 stars that was so poor and so expensive! Goodbye
10/08/2025: If you like old things, this is the place for you 😃 Our daughter loved it – lots of crooked staircases, winding corners, and what felt like a thousand ways to get to the room. Cons: Very noisy! You can hear everything from the hallway, so no privacy. Pack earplugs! We had a room facing the street – too loud with the window slightly open. Breakfast buffet for those who aren't vegan – very inviting. For vegans, there's very little choice at the continental breakfast. Allergens aren't listed, so you have to ask first what you can eat. We asked before our stay if they had vegan yogurt – no. So I brought my own breakfast. I think the price-performance ratio is inadequate. Positive: The staff is very, very friendly 😃 and I got a decaf oat cappuccino in the morning ☕

06/06/2025: Nice friendly little pub where it was possible to hold a conversation without shouting. Good service
04/06/2025: We had little time on our first afternoon in Dublin and was staying at a hotel about a 20 minute walk from this place. Stopped in for a beer and what a beautiful bar! I think I heard the pub had been around for 200 years.... The staff was helpful and patient. We had drinks/beer and fish and chips. All of it was wonderful!
