The Pier Cafe in Tramore

This place is an absolute gem. Atmosphere is always great and the food is consistently excellent. Eaten here countless times and never had anything less than a brilliant experience.

Some restaurants serve good food and others have great decor or good service. But the Pier Cafe is blessed with all tree bound together by an amazing ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience here with great food and attentive service. There's such a buzz here, it's great. Sarah, front of house, expertly makes the restaurant run like clockwork and is so personable. We had the prawn Dahl and duck salad for starters followed by entrecôte steak and beef ribs. Faultless. It's really great value for money and a most memorable experience.

The best meal out that we have had in Waterfrd this year! To start we had the duck and squid, both were incrediblely. For mains we had the short rib and cod, both dishes were exquisit! The servers were so welcoming, gracious and accomodating. I could not recommend the Pier Cafe enough! Looking forward to coming back soon.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant, lovely staff and the food was just incredible! We went on our (small) staff night out, 2 of us had the goats cheese salad to start, and the other had the melon. All 3 of us had the prawn spaghetti as the main... each dish was delicious. I often find that restaurants can go a bit skimpy on prawns in dishes - not the pier, plentiful and succulent, the tastiest sauce, I'll be dreaming about it until the next time I get over there! We were too full for dessert, but treated ourselves to mint chocolate martinis afterwards, and again, they were divine! The atmosphere in the restaurant is really lovely, cosy and charming with a nice casual vibe. A gem of a spot that we are lucky to have in Tramore.

Went with my family in July when we were on a week’s trip down South in the campervan. It was my favourite meal of the trip, the food was perfect and the staff were so so kind, recommending to us other places in Tramore to visit as well!! A must go.

What a wonderful experience! Exceptionally good food, wine, friendly and efficient staff and great service. Prices reasonable too. Very hard to find such a fantastic restaurant like The Pier nowadays. We'll definitely return.
