The Pig and Heifer Amiens in Dublin

Stopped off for an early lunch this week on the last day of a visit to Dublin. Had a fantastic Rueben, the pastrami and bread were really delicious, generous portions and everything was extremely fresh tasting and well prepared. Very genial owner who went out of his way to prepare something nice for my pescatarian friend when they didn’t have salmon available (pending a delivery). A great place for a sandwich!

Really enjoyed my visit to The Pig and Heifer. I had the chicken and chorizo hot sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! Full of flavour and honestly one of the nicest sandwiches I've had in a long time. The staff were lovely, the service was great and there was a really nice atmosphere about the place. Couldn't fault a thing. Will definitely be back again and would highly recommend!

i had wanted to try Pig and Heifer for a long while, so decided to do so when i had time to kill waiting for the train to wexford. i got the provincial Reuben, and the sandwich was unbelievable. such fresh flavours, and a range of them too. i got talking to the owner, who is one of the kindest people i’ve met in a long time. it is clear that he cared for this authentic business, and his customers. not to mention - the prices are not expensive by any means! thank you for a great experience. five stars all round!

Was told about this place by a friend of mine so popped in to check it out. Got the NY breakfast roll. Top of the range 👌

Very nice food, home like feeling

Got a lovely pastrami melt from The Pig and Heifer today. Service was fast. Food was tasty and packed with filling. Had a nice chat with the owner. Can’t complain. It’s a tasty spot with some decent sandwiches. Check them out.

One of the few surviving places in Dublin that still has a bit of character and doesn’t look like the entire premises was ordered from IKEA. The sandwiches are delicious, the staff are sound and always up for a bit of craic, and the place has a genuinely relaxed, old-school feel to it. Highly recommend.

Overrated in my opinion; the bread was just regular bagged bread. It was like a sandwich you could make yourself at home. ❤️‍🩹 The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. The opening hours are incorrect; it opens an hour later.

Popped in for a bite before my train, just asking for a vegetarian sandwich of some kind. What they made was outstanding and the staff were so kind. What an excellent find. Thank you!
