We organised for our 55 6th Year History students to be given a tour of Glasnevin Cemetery recently and I cannot praise the staff and guides enough. It was remarkably easy to set up in advance and the tour itself was absolutely fantastic. The tour lasted for about an hour or so, and in that time students were shown around the graves of all major historical figures linked to their study of the Leaving Cert History course. Students were delighted with the tour and were mesmerised by the sheer depth of knowledge on display from our two guides. As well as this, their humour and personalities made the tour all the more engaging for the students who had nothing but great things to say about them. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic irish history tour. Gráinne was excellent, knowledgeable and engaging. Kids (age 14,12 &8) really enjoyed it too. The exhibition at the visitors centre is also very interesting and well laid out. Recommended tour. 5 stars

Would highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Irish history from the last 200 years and the folks who made it. Our tour guide Pat was really engaging and informative with the 90 minute tour feeling over too soon! Getting there is easy from the City Centre, just use the frequent buses and get a Visitors Flex card from various outlets (we got ours in the Trinity University Student Union shop).

An absolutely brilliant tour, I wish I could remember our tour guides name, but he was fantastic. We brought our active retirement group from Offaly. And honestly even those that had been there before talked about how fantastic it was again. Without a doubt I will be back again.

Just done a tour with Ultan as guide .... part of heritage week ...absolutely brilliant/interesting /educational and at times very funny . would highly recommend

The tour guides here are very good and knowledgeable, however you can also just wander around for free. The tour includes burial practices over the centuries and includes a museum visit plus the cemetery with it's many famous residents.

I didnt stay here I just visited. The place looked spotless. It is close to the beach, a shop on site games room pub with entertainment and chipper . Busy in yhe summer. Great for all ages

The Marker Rooftop Bar

07/07/2026: My partner and I stayed at this lovely hotel during our short trip to Dublin. The hotel staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. Before our stay I spoke with Archit in Guest Relations. He helped to make the stay extra special for my partner’s birthday. When we were at the hotel Ainara was kind enough to mark a map with recommendations of places for us to go based on our preferences. At breakfast we had Rohan as our wonderful server! He took excellent care of us. The breakfast selection was impressive, especially because there were several gluten free options available, as well as fresh cut fruit and fresh squeezed juice. It was one of the most well balanced and lovely spreads I’ve seen at a hotel. Lastly, the spa was gorgeous, we loved being able to visit the pool, hot tub and sauna to relax during our stay. I genuinely hope we can visit again in the future!
19/06/2026: Wonderful quiet hotels for meetings. Great staff just as in their Amsterdam location. Love the name "the marker" very John Wick 🍻 Reccomend the tiger prawn salad. Roof top bar has stunning views! (often booked for private events, last two days have been) Wonderful conference space as well. Beautiful rooms and spa, thank you for the double upgrade!

08/08/2026: Nice old fashioned pub offering great Guinness & a fine selection of whiskey. Prices are reasonable given the location. Well worth a visit.
