The Porterhouse in Dublin

I'm giving this a fiver star review because it normally has fantastic music and great beers. Was let down tonight by an ignorant barman - glasses and beard. I gave my order of six drinks - he poured two of them then disappeared and seemed to take someone else order. Then beckoned me to come to him,and asked me for my order again, in a very rude manner as if it was my fault he did not remember. Then poured my drinks, and took my money without saying one word. Completely ignorant.

Great place. The staff were very friendly. Large selection of beer with many guest beers available. The food was delicious. We had oysters, mussels, and chicken and all we great. There was love music and they were really good as well. Really lovely evening. We went fairly early during the week so it was not too busy, which was perfect. Weekends can get very busy

We didn't eat but we had a few pints and we really liked the place; a beautiful venue and a spectacular variety of beers.

Came for a pint and ended up staying for several. Good prices for drinks on tap, and bottle prices are reasonable as well. The staff is friendly and great at making recommendations on drinks to try. Other patrons were all really nice and friendly, just so great to strike up a conversation with people sitting beside you at the bar. Definitely recommended for a great pub experience!

Live music and traditional dancing in a very pleasant atmosphere

A multi-level pub with an open stage for live music nestled between each floor. I love it.

A very pleasant, typical Irish pub. The mussels were very small but very tasty. A very nice atmosphere, a typical Irish pub vibe.

Un pub traditionnel irlandais au cœur de temple bar, avec sa décoration authentique. Nous sommes allés y manger un après-midi d’août 25 et nous avons attendu, attendu, attendu… mieux vaut ne pas être pressés ! Au final la nourriture était bonne et sans plus, ne valant pas son prix. Mais nous avions le décor !

He estado allí un lunes por la noche y IT estaba sorprendentemente vacío, teníamos una mesa con una vista del barrio del bar del templo que era agradable. Lamentablemente IT tomó siglos para pedir nuestra comida y cuando finalmente nos sirvieron, el pedido salió mal. Otro cuarto de hora para conseguir el plato perdido... .. pero nos recompensaron con una porción gratis de patatas fritas! La comida era como IT está en todos los pubs irlandeses, el Servicio un poco peor. El precio es el mismo. No volveremos en otro momento.
