Arrive just after lunch was finished but the staff went out of their way to get us sorted. We got a great chicken sandwich and a GF chicken salad. Both very well done. We were impressed and grateful for the service. Parking outside the door is a bonus. Don’t pass by without calling in!

25/12/2024: I enjoyed Fureys Bar . Very nice atmosphere. Had a starter “Prawn Cocktail “ excellent. However to give you a knife for cutting bread and buttering it with NO bread on the plate made no sense. €9.00 for prawn cocktail with no bread - is pretty mean spirited. When I asked what the plate and knife was for they told me it was part of the setting. The plate and knife came same time as the prawn cocktail. Figure this out for yourself as I couldn’t. Had they served bread with the prawn cocktail, I would have given them 4 stars and just maybe 5 star rating as this Bar & Restaurant has great potential . Edward Downey , Leixlip, Kildare.

Glenveagh Tearooms

06/09/2024: Superb food and very nice staff. This made for a great break after walking to the castle. Great to be able to sit outside in the sun. Highly recommended.
