A great stop on the Western way or if you are visiting the Cliffs of Mother. Has a great shop and probably the biggest selection of rocks, quartz and rare stone for sale in Ireland. It has a great cafe for lunch or simply to have coffee and a scone

28/05/2025: We spent one night at this place and had a traditional Irish breakfast to start the day. Everything was good, Liz even shared a lot about what we could do around the place and about the history of the place. The room was clean and okay for one night. The place is a bit lost so not much to do around the place (there is one walk that can be found around the city) Thanks for your welcome

Lough inn

15/04/2025: This was a complete surprise! Great food. Good value. A menu that delivers! The terrine was fab. Soup excellent (matched my mothers). Seafood platter superb. Cheeses - really well presented. Wines - I guess they are not from around here! Love the idea that the veg is grown in the adjacent garden and to the chefs spec. Also really liked the way they are training up a young team from the village to do things just their own way. We will be travelling from Westport to this spot for sure.
14/04/2025: Lovely restaurant with very delicious food beautifully presented Staff are very competent and helpful Highly recommend if you are passing by stop off you won’t be disappointed !
