The Schoolhouse Bar in Dublin

I have been coming to Schoolhouse for many years, and always come back. Rooms are nice and cozy and I love the fact that they are named after Irish writers. The pub/restaurant is wonderful with helpful and friendly staff, I never miss their fish goujons and their house salad with a good glass of red wine! Even better, if in the garden!

A Beautiful Experience – Exceptional Service and Atmosphere We recently hosted our civil ceremony dinner at the Schoolhouse and also arranged guest accommodation—and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional. The dinner was beautifully set up, the food was delicious and received so many compliments from our guests, and the atmosphere was just perfect—elegant yet relaxed. The guest rooms were equally impressive: charming, comfortable, and spotless. Everyone felt very well looked after, and the whole experience ran smoothly from start to finish. We’re so grateful to the entire team for making our special day even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone planning an event or simply looking for a great place to stay in Dublin!

When I started planning my wedding, I found Schoolhouse as an option, and from the very beginning, the service was wonderful. Laura is an excellent person who always assisted us promptly and professionally. I never had to stress about anything because she took care of everything. On the day of the event, everything was perfect—the staff was amazing, the food was delicious, and everyone was happy! Thank you so much, Laura and the team, for making this celebration such a beautiful memory.

I had a wonderful stay here with my wife for our anniversary. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the location was perfect, right by the canal and within easy walking distance of some lovely restaurants. The food here looked delicious, although we only stayed for three nights and attended concerts for two of them, so we unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to dine here. We would certainly love to return.

We ate at the restaurant and the atmosphere was great. Our server was amazing and so helpful in making our dinner choices. I had the mushroom pasta it was delicious. Others had the chicken so good! The wine selection was great too. Overall very cozy and delightful.

Overrated as not enough staff to cover lunch and wedding reception and dinner.

The staff are so easy to communicate with and help accommodate in the best ways that they can for a reservation. Lovely food and lovely tables to reserve! Highly recommend.

Lieu extérieur et intérieur à voir. Belle terrasse ensoleillé. Nous avons apprécié nous arrêter dans ce lieu attirant. Le pudding et une mousse au chocolat excellent. Une poutine ...Pas tout à fait mais tout aussi excellent. Un resto sympa ou l on doit s arrêter pour déguster une bière ou un excellent chocolat chaud.

Posto molto curato, accogliente, caldo … anche per dei camini accesi. Ottima zuppa, buonissimo il pollo. Ideale anche per lavorare davanti ad un buon tè o cioccolato! Vi tornerò!
