The Sliding Rock in Galway

A really great place in Galway that we highly recommend for a pleasant evening and overnight stay. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is typical of Irish pubs, and we had a good dinner. As for the rooms, although quite small, they are clean, and we weren't bothered by the noise from the bar located below.

Everything was perfect,staff was kind and helpful , really reccomend !

We stayed for one night , staff where great very friendly and very accommodating as we checked in and dropped off our bags earlier than we should of done. Rooms where clean smart but compact but everything you needed was in the room. Breakfast was delicious such a good menu Definitely will be back

Good location near the hospital and University. Food was good. Service was efficient and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

It's worth checking out. Good location, close to the UHG hospital.

We visited the bar just opposite to UHG. They didn’t have many options in cocktails so it was ok. I was expecting more options on the menu! The live music vibe is good m, must visit

Located across the road from UHG, food is fab, defo a change from the hospital canteen!

The pub is located directly across from the hospital. I was surprised by the number of customers, but it's actually a good spot for a quick meal if your loved one is in the hospital and you need to eat ;) Since it wasn't a planned meal, we grabbed a quick burger and fries (served with coleslaw) and a salad with grilled haloumi cheese. Everything is fresh and made fresh. This place wouldn't exactly be my go-to for a chat with friends or a romantic dinner, but it would be perfect for a quick, unplanned meal, and yes, it is :) There are a few parking spaces in front of the building; the pub is located on the ground floor.
