The Snug Bar in Athlone

I can’t say how much we enjoyed this place. The service was friendly as well as the patrons. A must visit.

We came here for my sister's hen after messaging back and forth with Pat over Instagram. Pat greeted us on arrival and showed us to the reserved area. We stayed for a few cocktails and shots before heading to a late bar. Many of the girls commented that this was their favourite part of the hen night. Pat was very accommodating and there was a great atmosphere in the pub. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to organize a hen party in the area.

Great pub in Athlone, great pints and staff. You can order a pizza and a pint here and the pizza come from Pavarottis Italian restaurant next door.

Pat and all the staff in the Snug could not have done enough for us. Service was exceptional, lovely big room for a group on a hen party. Organised pizzas for us from the local Italian that were delicious. Thanks guys we really appreciated it

Great spot for a few bevvies, pizza and pint €17

A great little find. We had the pizza & pint combo €17. Pizza was fab - freshly made. On par with Milano. Bar man was a happy, interactive guy. Happy to make us an off the menu cocktail. Experienced enough to manage the bar & create a good atmosphere. Trad session from 7pm.

My tender Pat was amazing. Gave us drink recommendations and was great to have a conversation with. The beer garden was a great atmosphere with really cool painting and antique decor

Pat was a great bartender! The decor in the Beer Garden is amazing, I definitely recommend you visit it out back. My friend and I had a great time talking to the bartender and I will definitely be visiting again. 10/10 recommend.

Stopped off during a break away for some drinks..they were just opening up on a fantastic sunny day.. barman quickly arranged outdoor seating so we could enjoy our drinks outside... Great staff

You can have a pizza and a pint for 15€, actually the only pub around who serves food ! We choose it for this fact and we didn’t regret it, even if the ambiance it’s not the same as his neighboor
