A really fantastic little place. Cosy, relaxed and the food is super tasty, beautifully cooked and presented at very good prices. Have been back a couple of times since discovering it a month ago. Front of house staff are very friendly and efficient. Will be back again to work my way through the menu. A lovely spot.

Just had a lovely and cozy dinner here for a Friday evening. Food portions are massive and that potato gratin was to die for! I had the monkfish special which was cooked really nicely and the sauce is amazing. Would defo come back again for tasty food and their friendly staff.

Very nice place, wonderful food and pleasant service and I could bring my dog with me.

The food was OK. Would be better if it was warm. As the plates were cold. And bacon was as hard as wood. When asked for lemon or lime was forgeten but another waitress brought it straight out when asked again. Atmosphere was beautiful and warm. The overall service was good as the girls where smiling and nice.

Travelling from Dublin to the ferry and searched for recommended places to stop and eat on the way - The Spotted Dog was recommended and certainly did not disappoint! Clean and cosy, with both breakfast, lunch/special menu to choose from at noon. We opted for the lunch options but the breakfasts looked equally as tasty and generous. The food was delicious and clearly all freshly and lovingly made in the visible kitchen. The staff were fantastic; really friendly, informative and helpful. Handy parking just over the road. Thank you for a perfect end to our holiday here! Highly recommended.

The restaurant was empty except for us Between 17:00 and 18:00,as we were on the early bird menu . So obviously no wild party atmosphere . The Food is excellent ..as we have enjoyed before .. The standard early bird is a Starter and Main , and then a small dessert sweetener is added ..sort of like an amuse bouche ..in reverse . This was our second visit and we enjoyed the first so well we returned . This time I had the mussels as starter , and followed by a special ..a rizzoto with shrimp. I had had the mussels previously , and the quality is excellent . I knew from then what the sauce or soup they are served in tasted off and it is delicious .. probably has chilli in it , and has a kick which works with the mussels . It is probably the nicest flavour for mussels. . It also comes with a large slice of toasted sourdough. For the main course . the previous time it was a seafood tagetelli with prawns and other shellfish. ..It was a little bland in comparison to the mussels . This time the special was this rizzoto and it was a grand comfort food .. My wife took the Soup and Cod and Chips as a main both times . She was very happy with both ..and this time extremely pleased with the cod , as it had a very lightweight batter and the fish was excellent . Portion sizes were just about right .We both finished our plates and pleasantly full.
