I went there based on a recommendation in a travel blog. The decor, as the name suggests, is very "wild"—that is, rustic. The pub is venerable and somewhat beautiful. What I didn't like, however, was the atmosphere... I feel comfortable in pubs where all generations gather, and it tends to be loud and sociable. Here, the mood was more reserved, "upscale." The customers, in my opinion, were more business people than the people from next door. But maybe I just had a bad time. On the plus side: fewer tourists than in comparable pubs.

The Stag’s Head is a must hit on your trip to Dublin! It was recommended by our tour guide so we came in for lunch and it did not disappoint. The Ham and cheese toasties were so warm and the Irish bacon and cabbage was delicious. Our waitress, Leah, was very friendly and enhanced our experience.

A great pub located in a hip alley. The exterior is nice and the interior is well done, including the deer model. I've been to more than ten pubs in Dublin, but this one has the best Guinness.

22/06/2025: What a hidden gem this is. Nestled, unassuming, slightly off the beaten track in the heart of Dublin we enjoyed one of the best late lunches we’ve ever had. We were instantly made to feel at home by the staff who were all friendly, bright, breezy and efficient. The menu isn’t extensive but it doesn’t need to be. It shows a confidence in the quality of food on offer, and it has every reason to. The dishes were well presented, packed with flavour and piping hot when they needed to be. The fish pie a particular highlight. The bill? €115.00. 4 fantastic dishes, a bottle of wine and bottled water. A steal….im tempted to fly to Dublin again just to revisit The Vintage Kitchen!
