Lovely scenic gardens and forest, surrounding an excellent food location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Family friendly in every way.

We took a visit The Station House for lunch with the family. Our first viewing on a beautiful spring day, for what will be the venue for a wedding next year. I can't wait. It was beautiful. The food was gorgeous, the staff were lovely. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. I can't wait to go back.
Can't comment on the rooms as there was a wedding happening while we were at lunch.

We had a communion dinner here and we couldn’t have been happier with the day. The food was beautiful, the setting was gorgeous. There was a lovely atmosphere and a lovely buzz. What made it extra special were the small details - a card for our son and personalised menus. Highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of indulging in the Boyne Valley tasting dinner and it was incredible! Every course was super fresh and we were really blown away by the monk fish and scallops which were locally caught and so soft and tasty! The staff were all very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and warm. I love the lighting and design and the historic feel of the entire place. My brother is a very picky eater and he not only eat all 7 courses but said he couldn't pick which was his favorite!! The wine was perfect and at the end we were full and very satisfied with a lot of flavors and experiences to talk about.

LOVED this hotel, it’s so immaculately looked after and presented. The staff are so attentive and make a great atmosphere. We went for a Boyne Valley tasting event, the food was really lovely- only criticism is that I was expecting an emphasis on the produce being from Boyne Valley but that was not the case.
Can’t wait to go back for more events like that.

Late last week my spouse and I indulged in a lunch at the Station House.
As seems to be the norm at this venue, the warmth of the greeting, the dining room appointments, the music volume, and the seamless service, were all perfectly judged.
The food however deserves most of our praise. The 'Pork Cheek', and 'Baked Camembert' starters were exquisite. Our respective 'Seabass in Coconut with Lobster Bisque (with Prawns)', and 'Duck' main courses were exceptional. Topped off by a 'Lemon Crème Brûlée', and 'Black Forest Gateau' for our desserts, we were not left wanting. Again, these third courses were truly superb.
The French in attendance were jubilant with both the selection, and their choice, of Argentinian red. As driver, I opted for a 0.0% beverage, of which there were two options.
All in all, a perfectly sublime way to spend a Thursday afternoon. 5 very well-earned and fondly given Stars.

We go to this Hotel as a family from time to time. We had booked for New Years Day for the 2pm sitting. I noticed that there were a number of new staff members compared to our last visit.
When we entered the Hotel we were left waiting as one lady was on the phone and the other just walking about. Eventually I had to approach the lady and inform her we were booked in for dinner at 2pm. She then checked and informed us that out table was ready. We were brought to the table and seated. Menus were then given to us. I noticed that the menus had no dates or made no reference to a New Years Day menu, in fact I felt it was the same exact menu as last year. We made our choices and one of the waitresses took our order. After some time starters came and they were fine, later the main courses came. We assumed the main course plates had all we were going to get as there were some very small portions of veg on each plate. We talked about this but continued to eat the dinner. We were 5 Adults and two children. Three of us had finished and two just about finished when two dishes of vegetables arrived. We could not believe the huge delay and said it to the girl. She just said sorry. When we were finished a male asked if everything was OK. We commented on not getting any veg or potatoes with the meal. He stated that the kitchen was under pressure and had forgotten to re heat the vegetables. I thought this was a very strange comment to make, re heat veg.
I asked if the manager "Colin" was working and I was told he had finished up on Christmas Eve which I was very surprised to hear. Colin was bubbly, hugely friendly, professional and excellent at his job, I could see already the gap in service his departure had left.
When I booked the dinner some months earlier I had to pay a deposit of €20 a head, this came to €150. When we were finished My son said he was paying the bill which he did. I asked him on the way out of the Hotel had they removed the deposit from the bill, he said no, he then had to go back to reception to get this matter sorted. I thought this was very bad form. When we were leaving no member of staff said thank you, safe home, nothing. I thought in general the Station House has gone down a lot from out last visits and sadly based on our poor experiences this New Years Day, we will not be returning.
