The Tan Yard in Killarney

Probably the best meal we’ve had this year - brilliant across all three courses, plus great no-alcohol cocktails. Atmosphere also lovely, great vibe inside and good service throughout. We had the croquette to start, the venison and the beef linguine for mains, and the yuzu cake for dessert - all great, the venison the highlight for me. The bread served prior to the courses was also excellent, as were the madeleines that came with the bill - small touches always go a long way. For the money spent (sharing a starter/dessert), you can’t get much better. Would very much recommend!

It was our 3rd time here,all for very special occasions. Highly recommend it. It's not cheap but it's totally worth it . The atmosphere is lovely, the service is very efficient and friendly and the food is divine. We had scallops and carpacio of beef to start, the beef had an Asian sauce it was delicious ! Steak and salmon for mains ,a delicious bottle of vino and some Irish coffee to finish.our waitress was called Anna, and she was smashing! Friendly, informative, and an absolute pleasure. Lesley was the maitre d ,friendly, welcoming, warm,and amusing. We felt so special. Of the 3 times ( all great), this was the best. Certainly made a special occasion even more special, we will remember this for a long time .We will definitely return. Thank you so so much, guys !

Such a cute spot with amazing vegan seafood options!! My partner even emailed ahead to check if they could accommodate vegan gluten free and they way delivered beyond expectations for us. The waitress was so nice, made us feel so welcome and looked after, and gave us a lovely table even though we realised we had accidentally booked the wrong night and it was already so late for them. She could have easily turned us away and been rude but wasn’t. In fact, all the staff there was lovely. Thank you to Ella and the team in the kitchen making such lovely vegan dishes and creating such a warm atmosphere. We will be back again!

I had a nice experience dining in this restaurant. The linguine and Yuzu cake were delicious. The ambiance and service were great. They also gave complimentary starters and desserts which were also delicious.

One of our favorite dining experiences when in Ireland. It is a bit more upscale and fine dining, but hey spoil yourself! The food, cocktails, service, and ambiance are so great. An absolute 10/10 experience.

The cocktail were amazing i have the citrus blast and the arbitrary. I gobbled the food down there. The chocolate carmel mouse bar is to die for. So where the crab arms and steak and mash

Loved eating at the Tan Yard! The host knew who we were as we walked in the door & greeted each individual in our party of 3. We had a reservation, and he made us feel like he saved us the best table in the house (and made no mention of us being a few minutes late). Very gracious. The hostess was lovely & made us feel right at home. And the location and ambiance was perfect for a Friday night dinner. Casual yet elegant was what I had heard.. and that was the perfect description. And the food - delicious. Would go here again if back in Killarney without a doubt.

A must-visit for anyone who loves a cozy dining experience! The atmosphere is a solid 10/10, and the service is incredibly friendly and professional. I ordered a ribeye, rare, but unfortunately, it was served medium. After mentioning this, the staff immediately apologized and brought me a new plate—with extra fries as a nice gesture. The second ribeye was perfectly cooked, super fresh, and well-seasoned. You could really taste the difference! A small tip for the restaurant: a freshly cooked steak is so much better than one that’s pre-cooked and kept warm. Other than that, fantastic service and a great dining experience!

The Tan Yard is right in the heart of Killarney, when we arrived we were treated warmly by the staff and seated immediately, the choice on the menu is varied and imaginative, the wine list was very good with plenty of choice the food was fantastic with plenty of choice for vegetarian, the bread and butter we received before the meal was delicious, so many restaurants in Ireland no longer give guests bread before the meal well done Tan Yard and finally the staff who were friendly and professional, we would highly recommend this restaurant, thank you for a lovely evening
