Fabulous little spot. Great Sunday feed and lovely staff.

Fortunately, there is still a seat for one next to the bar. Reservations are really necessary. Great food. Hard-working staff.

Our reservation unfortunately was AWOL but we were fitted in very quickly during a very busy service. Staff and food exceptional. Recommended

I went to Thatch with a group of people and unfortunately I was disappointed with the experience When we arrived,the waiter didn’t seem to know where to seat us We waited around 10 minutes and even asked again When we finally sat down, there was a used napkin left on one of the chairs. I was also surprised by the menu. It was just a single A4 sheet of paper with the food listed on it,with no desserts or drinks menu The waiter also got my drink order wrong and brought me a non-alcoholic beer instead of the alcoholic one I had ordered The food presentation was not very neat either. It honestly felt more like a canteen than a proper restaurant There was sauce running down the side of the plate which could easily have been wiped off before serving. Overall, I wouldn’t come back here. I understand that the place has an authentic atmosphere, but the organisation and service really need improvement. If you’re looking for better service, I would personally recommend County Arms instead.

Brilliant place to stop for a meal , everything was amazing!! There no room for us but they made room for us ! I love every bite of my chips very well cooked food !

A proper step back into history. A wonderful old whitewashed pub that’s been here centuries. The food is excellent, generously portioned, and the Guinness is as good as it gets in Ireland. Desmond Kinnole is a superb mein host, having taken over the reins from his mother, Betty.

Would recommend the place to everyone

This place is lovely, real old style ireland. Cobble stones are a pretty but annoying I fell on them, floors uneven and not wheelchair accessible. Food was lovely , service was fast.
