An absolute gem in Offaly. Great location, great food, really tasty and excellent service from Des and team. Lovely evening with family. Thanks all.

Great food and excellent service. The staff and manager were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our visit. I also had a great chat with the barman about hurling, which added a nice personal touch. The ladies serving the food were warm, friendly, and professional, creating a lovely local atmosphere. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Unfortunately we were too late for food when we arrived but I am reviewing as the gentleman in the bar was so friendly and apologetic and suggested other options. Just thought it was a really nice interaction so thank you

even with being with a tour group and having limited options of the menu there were still a lot of options and everything was amazing!

Everything we ordered was superb! Curry, Stuffed chicken and Duck. Service was amazing. Anything we needed was brought promptly. Loved the owner, Des.

We had lunch today and were served by the most gorgeous lady called Steph. We can easily say Steph probably provided the best level of customer service either myself or my fiancé have ever experienced. She was so kind, attentive and friendly and just such a pleasure to deal with. I hope the Thatch knows how lucky they are to have her!!

Our favorite place by far! When we got there there was no tables and a full reservation list… however the hosted/owner sat us anyway! She made a table and room for us and I’m so glad she did. The food was unbelievable and delicious. The portions were huge, the drinks on point. The staff were all so kind and friendly. We felt at home and comfortable. The turkey was super moist and the server asked if we needed more food! Finally with little room let to add dessert we had too! The dinner was so good we knew dessert would be over the top and it was. The hosted even managed to surprise us with a special anniversary dessert and lit candle! I only wish we lived closer to eat here every week!

Friendly staff good food, will return
