Incredible food and genuinely great customer service. Honestly the best toasted BBQ pulled pork I’ve ever had, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Ordered 50euro worth of food ..brisket beef toasties and nachos to share..and coffees...food ready on time for collection. Best toasties we have ever had. Great flavour...highly recommend. Will find reasons to go to Portlaoise just for this food...well done to staff!!

From the beginning to the end A-mazing! Friendly staff, gorgoues toasties with little tub of sauce and to top it all off the right amount of caramel in my caramel Latte .. delcious 🥰😍 the taste of everything 10/10! Love that I live so close ! Definitely be back!

Omw great toasties 🤩 Pulled pork & Tex mex are highly recommended Coffee also great. Hot chocolate a bit more on the water side (personally prefer a creamy hot chocolate)

We were midway driving back to Dublin airport and pitstop at The Wandering Elk. The sour dough bread was amazing and toasted at the right texture that it doesn’t cut your mouth. The smashed avocado is super fresh. This restaurant is highly recommended by me, even the Karen of Karens wouldn’t even think of complaining to the manager. Minimalistic decorations on the wall, good placements. Go now.

Food and coffee are good. Fine for me to get a takeaway of either. Seating looks uncomfortable. However, I wouldn’t bring my young children in here. Extremely inappropriate/offensive music being played for a cafe.

I got the BBQ Pulled Pork toasted sandwich. It was divine. The nicest thing I’ve had in ages. The pork was juicy and tender. Plenty cheese and lovely pickled slaw. Good value as well. If you want a break from chicken fillet rolls. This is the place to go. Your tastebuds will thank you. Plus it’s good to support these small independent places. I’ll be back!

14/10/2025: Conveniently positioned on the outskirts of portlaoise, underground and street parking. Self service tills available. This Supervalu stocks all products including some homeware products also.

16/08/2025: Great food and coffee stop as we are driving through. Prices are very reasonable.
11/05/2025: The food was good, it all went very very sour when we were about to leave, my wife and daughter went outside to wait for me to settle the bill. Then the waiter ran out through the door and accused then of trying to skip paying and me standing in que to pay. I did not get any kind of apology for the error they made. My family were very embarrassed. I was very disappointed with their lack of professionalism and would never darken their door again. My recommendations are not good for this cafe.
