The Wandering Elk in Portlaoise

The Wandering Elk in Portlaoise is a great spot for a casual bite. Their toasted sandwich was amazing—crispy, packed with flavour, and great value for money. The coffee was delicious and paired perfectly with their sweet treats. Service was efficient but could have been a bit more welcoming. Still, for a tasty, satisfying lunch, it’s well worth a visit.

Excellent coffee and the sambo melts were outstanding.... Love the harisa dip ...... 10 out of 10 .....top notch .

This is no ordinary coffee shop! Firstly the coffee is out of this world and the food is so good! Service is friendly and the staff make you feel at home! Even Brendan Bolton would enjoy the cookies here 🍪

One of the nicest coffees in the town.

The tex mex is the greatest sandwich in Ireland, hands down. Coffee is also delicious. Can't recommend enough. We drive down from Kildare to get it.
