A wonderful experience, the food was sublime, fantastic wine menu a great range for all budgets from the affordable to the lucky few, the service was 5 star really warm friendly and knowledgeable staff. My only criticism is the options for celiacs, my sister is a celiac vegetarian so is very limited, she is a very laid back person but would have appreciated more choice. This is something that could be easily improved on. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to a friend

Super experience from start to finish . We were met by a very polished and enthusiastic manager which made us immediately comfortable. She ensured we had drinks quickly and answered all our questions on the menu / specials . Our dinner was served by a great guy ( tall, dark haired with glasses ) who was very professional & attentive . Renata brought us drinks and couldn’t have been nicer . The food was excellent ( Monkfish special was special ) and the wines very good . The mixed dessert was super too . We couldn’t fault the restaurant…….. keeping doing what you’re doing 👏

Ah, the Wild Goose in Ranelagh—an absolute treasure trove of culinary delight. It’s a rare thing indeed to stumble upon such a hidden gem, where both the flavours and the prices strike a balance that makes one wonder why it’s still a well-kept secret. Let’s talk about the Crab and Avocado. A dish that, in its simplicity, offers a perfect marriage of freshness and finesse. But the real star of the show? Their Prime Fillet of Beef, a cut so masterfully prepared that to call it anything less than sublime would be a grave injustice. Melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a depth of flavour that leaves you in awe—this is beef elevated to an art form. And as if that weren’t enough, The Wild Goose also boasts a wine cellar that has been quietly curated by none other than Kevin McMahon himself to a level that would make Claridge's envious. Each bottle, a testament to his discerning taste and deep knowledge of fine wines, complements the menu with perfection. Of course, the meal would be incomplete without the indulgence of dessert. The array of options here is truly staggering, each offering a unique twist on traditional sweets, and every bite a little piece of heaven. A massive thank you to Kevin McMahon, Jenny Murphy, and the entire team. What they’ve achieved here isn’t just dining—it’s a masterclass in food and hospitality that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops.

After 60 years as an exile I gathered my Irish family for a get together at this restaurant. 14 os made it. What a wonderful night the restaurant gave us.Wonderful food wine , staff and service. They coped wonderfully well with the crowd. They gave my wife and I a memorable night prior to our departure back home. It was a wonderful “Last Supper”

The Legal Eagle

28/10/2024: Really great atmosphere for a drink. But the food was only okay, especially for the price point. I wouldn’t come back for it, by any means. The staff were so hard to get attention from, didn’t check in on us and could barely even get them to pay. The spicy margarita wasn’t spicy so if you want a regular margarita order the spicy, it’s €2 cheaper. The cherry blossom was GORGEOUS. So was the Belfast coffee. The Go Figure was nail polish remover - steer clear.
21/10/2024: Fantastic Sunday lunch. Found this place after a quick google for the best Sunday lunch in Dublin. You can tell that the chefs take a pride in their work. Service was also excellent and very friendly. Roast beef was cooked perfectly and not overdone as so many other places do.
