Solid 4 star restaurant in Cork. Good Irish breakfasts . Great price

Stew was brutal, tasted like it was from a can. Guinness was decent.

We came here on a quiet Tuesday evening to watch the champions league. There were a few patrons at the time, none who were watching the Barcelona va borussia dortmund game on the big screen. When we arrived we asked the bar man if he’d be showing the arsenal game, he said we will do yeah, seemingly unaware it had started. Soon afterwards a few couples of Real Madrid fans turned up in which they decided now was the time to change the TV (which they had trouble deciding which TV to change and how to do it). Apart from that the bar staff were friendly, attentive and offered good chat. The beer was on par and the local patrons soon got behind a good game of football which gave a bit of atmosphere after two superb feee kicks by Declan Rice.

Best food I’ve had after 10 days in Ireland. Recommend cottage pie for sure. Good atmosphere and portions. Beer pricey but it is everywhere.

Really good pub. Obviously, if you like football, it's a great venue. Massive shout out to the lad who put Birmingham v Peterborough game on for us. Even though we lost🤬😬 And the Brazilian girl who is an engineer and excellent waitress. Recommend.

Great all rounder ... I would recommend trying everything on the menu it is all very good..

I had my first irish breakfast at The Thomond Bar and was surprised by how wonderful it tasted!

I went there today and I ordered the soup and a pot of tea. The soup was fantastic and the tea was fantastic too. I had a good time with a bunch of friends and we go in there most Fridays. One critique the waitress was a bit overly enthusiastic to take away pots and plates and stuff and the food and the drinks not finished yet. Other than that I say fantastic place.. thank you thomond
