Thompsons Bar & Restaurant in Cork

We had dinner here before a show in the Everyman. We were lucky to be accommodated without a booking on a busy evening. The menu is great and you can see the kitchen at work. I had the buttermilk chicken burger which was delicious and I had the biscoff cheesecake which was excellent. Service was great. Toilets were clean. €60 for two mains, two desserts and two soft drinks. Highly recommended.

Really lovely meal, we would go back!

Had a lovely experience in Thompsons last weekend. We were a large party and the food was gorgeous, the kids' portions were a generous size and the decor and atmosphere were fantastic staff were friendly and polite. It was my first time there, so we will definitely be back for a date night ourselves.

We had a lovely dining experience this week when visiting Thompsons.The staff were so friendly and polite,giving us advice on food and wine.The buffalo wings were plentiful and very tasty along with the Chilean Savignoun wine which was a lovely refreshing drink.The mains were delicious and very reasonably priced and the Biscoff cheesecake dessert was excellent and rounded off a lovely and most enjoyable meal.....Top marks!

Lovely food Only issue is that everytime the door opened we were hit with a cold breeze

Fantastic meal and service as usual. Three of us had pasta for main course which was absolutely delicious. Only comment I would make is that some Italian breads and olive oil would have been the perfect accompaniment. Otherwise 10/10.

Daniel was the most helpful, attentive and informative server we’ve had on any trip. Talk about Irish charm! Great food and atmosphere, will be coming here again before the trip is done!
