Tierney's in Clonmel

My Cabbage and bacon was excellent as was my wifes Scampi. Bread and butter pudding with ice cream and custard was to die for. What a beautiful Bar! And spotless!

Great place great location traditional Irish bar service was fantastic and the food was amazing go for the lunch or the al carte menu it won't disappoint portion size is good and all served hot. Will definitely be back

We visited and ate at Sean Tierneys Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday 1st July 2026. We cannot speak highly enough of the place. Sean is delightful and the food is just amazing. I had the special, bacon, mashed potatoes and cabbage, carrots, chips and a parsley sauce. My wife had burger and chips, which was one of the best she’d had, the patty was excellent, there was a salad, coleslaw and chips on the side. Both portions of chips were so much better than you get most other places. The pub is traditionally Irish and welcoming. The one big disappointment was we went to go there the following evening after a day out and got there a little after last food orders so had to settle eating elsewhere, our fault not Sean’s. We heartily recommend visiting this pub if you are in Clonmel Ireland for the warm welcome, quality of the food, portion size and price which was excellent value.

My wife and I had a very nice dinner at Sean Tierney's. The pub is well set up with cozy nooks to have a very pleasant meal in which you can chat easily with your dining companions. I had the half roast duck in an orange sauce with vegetables -- the duck was moist and the sauce was perfect. My wife enjoyed her chicken "burger" (which was a nice chicken filet). The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming and the service is attentive. You'd be well advised to stop in for a meal in you are in Clonmel.

Good value for money, staff were efficient and friendly, they had a musician playing on Saturday night, he we good and not over loud so it was nice.We we're in late so it was a little quite, it would be good crack earlier in the night I would think. Would visit again. Thanks

Very beautiful, which you will not see anywhere, it is amazing how everything is arranged and put together. The food is delicious and the beer is super delicious, as was said by friends, when you definitely have to try it. The service is nice, very good, smiling, kind. I really liked it, which I recommend you definitely go in and enjoy, it is impossible to describe all the beauty.

A well-located pub frequented by locals. Nice decor, plenty of quiet corners. Very fast service with a personal touch.
