There always good atmosphere in Tom McCarthys Bar in Castleisland its family run bar, its was very busy today Kerry were playing Tyrone All Ireland Football Simi Final, and great kerry victory over tyrone today, roll on all ireland football final 2 weeks time there also fine big beer garden out back.. ideal for birthday hen and stag parties......

I visited this spot back in 1980 when Paddy Hussy (?) was the proprietor. I was “looking for my heritage” while staying at the Crowne Hotel. Paddy refused to let me pay for a thing! ❤️‍🩹

A proper bar. No fuss no frills just good beer and spotless toilets.
