My sister and I planned a large surprise party in the Unicorn over the weekend and we were absolutely blown away and delighted with everything from start to finish! Our guests remarked how gorgeous the new section is, as it is spacious and an ideal party location! Especially the Christmas decor, it was so atmospheric and cosy. Rita, the events manager made it so easy with a quick consultation! The food platters were very generous and for a large party the ample parking made it easy for guests! I have to say, Jim and Billy working on the night truely went above and beyond. They and the rest of the staff made sure everything ran smoothly! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of hosting a party! Aoife x

We had a beautiful buffet meal at The Unicorn on Saturday evening the 20th December for our Dad’s anniversary mass. There were almost 40 of us in total. The minute we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. We hadn’t ordered any children’s food, but the moment they realised there were children with us, they offered us the menu to pick the food we wanted for them. We had a great choice of food and plenty of it which was really tasty. Rita was great and extremely helpful with organising everything we asked for and even she had a lovely menu personalised for us on all the tables. Jim was fantastic on the night checking in to make sure my mam was happy with everything. There was live music later on in the evening, which was really lovely. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable evening with all the family and we will definitely be returning for the fantastic menu they have on offer.

Had a party with 80 guests celebrating our vow renewal for our 30th wedding anniversary. The Unicorn staff made the whole experience most memorable. From planning to execution, no detail was imported. Eager to please and make our day go smoothly, they looked after layout and menus. We decorated to our taste and they looked after us well on the night. Got good feedback on the food choices and everyone enjoyed our celebration with us taking the stress out. This is our third event here but first time upstairs. Thank you again Rita, Jim, Dan & staff

We had our son's 18th birthday upstairs in the function hall and we had a fantastic day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu looked lovely with my son's picture on them, that was class. Rita was very helpful throughout . The food was delicious and plenty. I would recommend to everyone. our guest enjoyed very much. The kids too were looked after. Thank you so much to all staffs and management and I will surely go back in future if I have another occasion.

Great place to stop for a bite!

Very well prepared for the current situation. Could not speak highly enough about the staff and the food was fantastic, well donr management and staff.

We had our daughter’s christening in the pub downstairs and honestly, the whole day was fantastic. The staff were so lovely and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The place had such a warm, relaxed vibe, which made it the perfect spot for everyone to enjoy themselves. We loved the menus with our daughter’s picture on them, such a fab touch! The food was unreal — our guests haven’t stopped talking about it! We had so many people telling us how much they enjoyed it! We also had 2 guest who were gluten free and the manager addressed them directly and made sure they got their own plates which they were delighted about! Thank you to the whole team for making everything so easy and memorable. We’re genuinely so glad we chose this venue, and we’d recommend it to anyone planning a celebration.

We visited the restaurant for dinner on Saturday, November 1st. We had excellent service from Billy; however, we had two interactions with an older man who treated us rudely when we asked to change tables and again when it was time to pay the bill. The food was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but this unpleasant experience with that gentleman left a bad impression.
